Is he responding to the cute part or the hair growing part? Either way he's right! It was pretty painful the first few months but now that I pull it back everyday it's totally easy! I truly need to get to a stylist for some shape but it's long enough to pull back and it's way easier than messing with a blowdryer everyday for work!
