mass chaos We float the river at the end of july early august. But at STC there is always something going on for the 4th. Otter, BBQ, Fire, and free beer.

Have you floated down the apple river? We do it every year with about 20 jumpers and four or five coolers.

Ben Harper "live from mars" is awesome, one of the best live cd's I have heard. G-Love and Special Sauce are really good too. O.A.R and dispatch are good live too.

Kids should never be on the packing floor unless their parent or guardian is holding their hand. I grew up on a dz from day one and remeber seeing things that some people dont see until they are 21. I think I turned out all right. My parents put me to bed just after the fire was started, unless it was the 4th and then it was fireworks time. Some of my first memories are my dad telling me to walk behind the plane and walk around rigs, NOT STEP OVER LINES. That is the one major thing that bugs me about kids at dzs. Parents teach kids to step over lines when someone is packing.WRONG. Teach your kids to walk around rigs. I dont know how many times kids have snagged my lines trying to jump over them. I know not all dz kids are bad but weekend warriors bring their kids out for the first time and dont even watch them. At our dz the dzo kids and regular jumpers kids who are there all the time are awesome.

Couch is a blast. The Skydive Hutchinson crew throw's a good after party late at night after the hanger shuts down. Djs and a projector playing vid from the day on a big screen.

more "out of the blue" mountain swooping footage?

Try to find a copy of the fly boyz film fest dvd from 2001 there is two different parts with mountain swoops. -
For video try to stay far enough away that you get the canopy and jumper in the shot. zoom in when they start the swoop and try to slowly zoom out.

At the end they showed the cave in crotacia 600 ft pretty cool.

Just practice over and over. Dont worry about speed at first it will come in time. Flat packing is good for learning the canopy and the lines. The only thing better about pro packing is you dont take up as much room on the floor. Nothing against the video "pack like a pro" but I think that it is easier to learn from doing it then following a video. The video is good if you are actually packing while watching it. So you can do what the say to the parachute at that second rather than watching the whole thing then tring to remeber it when you have this peice of fabric with some strings on it hanging over your shoulder that doesnt even look like a parachute. But if you never learn to pack I will pack it for you for 7 dollars and have it done in 5 min.

Get adobe 6.5 or pro both good. They are pretty easy for simple edits.

Hutch has a king air that they will fly if enough people are there. hutch is more freeflyers and chip is more rw. say hi to tim and rose for me if you go to hutch. DQ
