  1. Yea, so... I jumped today with the changes that I had mentioned earlier. I like both of the changes and I will continue to pack like that until I find something else I like better. Both of the changes make packing easier in my opinion.
  2. I flew Continental recently, round trip. The way to my destination they didn't even weigh my check in bags. Lucky me. On the way back they did weigh it, 73lbs, it cost me $25. Oh well, I didn't want to pull 23lbs out of it and carry it. So... yeah -Kenny
  3. I recently went to Zhills from San Diego (as you know) and I carried my rig on both ways. I just had it in a black duffle bag. I was never even asked to open the bag, no questions. Although one security screener did look a bit confused when it went through the x-ray machine... but maybe he always looks like that.
  4. Well, my body is never really arched... this is why I started freeflying. I hate to arch. So anyway, all of my openings I am flat as hell and falling extremely slow with my f/f suit. I've been doing it since day one so it haven't noticed any difference of course. So, it's obviously possible but has its ups and downs I am sure. -Kenny
  5. Right.... the perfect sit position is the one that gets you where you want to go when you want to go there. And when that fails, flip onto your head.
  6. Her sit actually looks good. She keeps her legs at 90's unless she is trying to stand. Denise, just try putting you legs a little closer together and raising your arms up a bit. Other than that, those Capri pants may be catching a little air and slowing you down. It will come with time. I was a big time floater until about 20 or so jumps ago and I still do float some, but not nearly as bad because I can fly myself a bit more. You are doing really well for how many F/F jumps you have, don't worry about it. Just watch those videos you have and critique yourself. If you go back a few pages in these posts you will see a post from me with about the same problem and around the same number of F/F jumps you have now.
  7. All of this information is for Wings containers! I don't know if some or any of this is recomended for any other type of container so be warned. Okay, when I first bought my Wings and had it put together the rigger put the stow bands on the outside of the D-bag. I also used to place the D-bag traditional style with the stows to the bottom of the container. I just pulled the canopy out of the container and repacked it in the living room. While I was at it I moved the stows to the top of the bag. These are the difference I noted: - Stows are tighter and stay that way due to shorter stows and less pull on them since they are not holding the bag shut. - Seems like the bag will bounce around less when being deployed because the stows are closer to the center of the bag. - A good amount of line left between last stow and links. Not too much not too little. I also put the D-bag face down with the lines against the backpad instead of the BOC. These are the differences I noted: - The container is a little thicker (Distance from backpad to closing pin). And is a little shorter (distance from top of rig to BOC). Depending on what your rig already looks like this could be good or bad. - Sometimes with traditional method of D-bag placement the lines want to stick out the bottom while you are trying to close the flaps, placing D-bag with lines stows facing back pad prevents that since they are not around the BOC. - Seems as if it's in a better position to lift off your back. Keep in mind I have not yet tested this in the air. As was said prior both ways are in the Wings manual so I am not being a "test dummy". As soon as I do get in the air I will post any noted difference during deployment. -Kenny
  8. Yeah, in the manual it actually tells you that you can stow the d bag with the lines against the backpad. It does come straight off your back. Not sure if it makes a big difference or not. -Kenny
  9. hahaha great weeeee -Kenny
  10. Don't worry I know I'll get mine. -Kenny
  11. Something came up this weekend and I was curious... Can someone that has never been pied, pie someone? The situation was, I was doing my 100th and Denise (SunnyDee) was talking about giving me a nice big pie in the face.
  12. I don't know about the reserve....but I got my main wet before, packed it up and jumped it. It opened fine and dried out on the way to the ground. -Kenny
  13. Well thank you. I enjoyed jumping with you, Trevor and Ron too. That Horny Gorilla was the shit! haha We'll do it again when I come back next time. Hopefull we will both be flying on our heads by then.
  14. Sorry this was intended for people with a sense of humor, I guess I should have said that in my post. -Kenny
  15. This is pretty funny... just make sure your volume is down or you may get some attention at work.
  16. 100 miles away? Where do you live? -Kenny
  17. I would say... Demo any canopy before you buy it. Keep in the mind the day he demos the canopy might have good wind conditions. So once he has used that canopy and honestly feels safe on it no matter what the winds are like, I say go for it. But he should be very honest with himself about his comfort under that 210 before he buys one, because it's his life. Then... buy the main and after that order the container and specify that main. Wings did an awesome job building a container around the main and reserve I already had. Nice fit! I do agree with the 1:1 advice FallinWoman has given. I have 100 jumps and I am at 1:1. -Kenny
  18. Well there are still hot women in Texas so the drive would not have been wasted. Besides, there are DZ's in Texas! -Kenny

Grrrr "Especially since there is a chance the parachute won't open!" This chick has been watching way too much of that bullshit Extreme TV. -Kenny
