So I like how when I cant get a jump in-either I am busy and it is on the days the DZ is closed-the weather is nice. Yet when I can jump its either too windy and stormy. Thankfully I'm down south, so this nasty cold weather wont hurt too bad, but I have yet to jump this year and it's driving me crazy. I can't wait till summer.. I hate this time of year.. So yeah, thats my vent for the day..

I never understood why it take 3 days to in-process into the army, but MONTHS to get out! Its so stupid. AND there is virtually no help with the clearing process. Oh how I loath the way certain things are done in the military.. In all my time in the military, I dont think I have been this consistently frustrated as I have been these last few weeks.. BUT, there is light at the end of this tunnel. Friday is my last day.. Than it is on to Texas, just in time for my brothers birthday and Christmas with my family.. I was thinking about buying him a tandem jump, but its probably going to be super cold, and while I still jump in the cold, I want his first time to be as enjoyable as possible. SO, besides skydiving, anybody have suggestions for a gift for him? He will be 25, and pretty much down for anything awesome.. Politics aside, I have no problem with going to Afghanistan (Im currently serving in the Army, and I have been to Afghanistan). Before you get your panties all bunched up over that, let me explain why I have no problem with it: I have seen first hand some of the horrible things that goes on in that country. What they do to woman and children is atrocious. If me going over there and f-ing up bad guys, lets a little boy go another week without being raped, than it is all worth it. There are a lot of bad people over there. But there are good people too, and seeing the smile on their faces when we kick the taliban out of their village, and we built a school house, and medical center; when they could finally fly kites, and play soccer (those are outlawed by taliban), it was worth every second. So yeah, coming from a soldier, I would go over again. I would do it all again, just to see those kids happy and safe. THAT, is why I fight. And I would be happy to go to ANY country, and do the same. It was brought to the riggers attention when I dropped it off to have it repacked-Im sorry I didnt mention that, I forgot I had said something to them. (I have memory issues because of certain incidents in the Army, I have a hard time remembering certain things). I didnt mean to get people all worked up.
