There are instances when I am in strong disagreement with our current President, but I do not call him stupid as he is my President. A very strong statement you made about two former presidents.

When we got our first armored vehicle that was the first scenario we trained for. Hoping it never happened but knowing it could be used to rescue downed/trapped civilians or officers.

I will NOT have you bad mouthing TV. It's raised a couple generations already. How dare you, Sir! Haha..+1 on that

More importantly, it never should be. This is what I don't understand about the pundits on both sides politicizing this film. It's about a guy put in an extraordinary position, not entirely of his own choosing, and how that affects him. It has nothing to do with the larger issue of glorifying the war or whatever other bullshit is mostly being talked about. So true.....and so ridiculously simple.

+1 on this, and there was some puking involved.

First I have heard of this. Here is hoping her a quick and full recovery.

There was just something about the 70's. A club, in a soybean field, surplus military gear, a 182 held together with duct tape, and the instructor was the guy who learned last summer. It was hard to become "included", but when it happened it really felt good. Then you began the progression, cause it was a club, not a business. Packing for students, becoming a static line JM, then an Instructor. One weekend a month it was your turn to train students, cause it was a club, not a business. 4 ways never felt so good, beer never tasted so cold, and in case of a bad opening, there was a white angel there to save you. Ahh, Yes, the 70's.

I'd rather Fly . . . I hate packing. Yeah but I'm talking about naughty fun. Fucking with people. Making them think there's a ghost or some shit. I'm with you on this one....the possibilities are endless!!!!!

New Year's stampede in Shanghai: 35 dead, 43 injured
xsniper replied to ryoder's topic in The Bonfire
So True. I was just there for the first time a couple of months ago. I was expecting laid back, patient, politeness.....no way. It seems they have no concept of a line and waiting your turn. Just as you mentioned at Tianamen Square I thought we were going to be trampled. Still, a great trip, especially the time in Tibet. -
She was sure hot when I was a kid. RIP

Who remembers their Free lottery number
xsniper replied to Krip's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
This was the lottery I won. Dec. 4, 1952.....#1. Yep I had just broken my collarbone playing football and watched them announce it on TV with my arm in a sling. I remember thinking, just when you think things are going bad !!!!! -
Which month is wrong. Surely it doesnt last a month.

DEFOGit by Clarity is a great product. Have used it in training masks for years with good results in many types of climates. I have used this on my full face succesfully. You can get it in most WalMart vison centers. It feels like a dry cloth that can be used about 8 times.

Any Magee MS Skydivers Out There
xsniper replied to stanlholmes's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
The last I heard John Mitchell was in Texas, Jerry Neel was in Miami, Mike Blaine passed away from cancer, Travis Creel and Robyn were still in Mississippi. I have no idea about Bookworm, Stable Mason, Charley Brown, or Roger Stubblefield. Would love to know where those guys are. -
The couple of times I met Tom at POPS events I was so impressed at a true gentleman, and loads of fun. RIP

I'll be shutting up now..... Don Still a long way to go, and historically LSU has been a tuf nut to crack for Ole Miss. The closer to Halloween, the stranger the game gets. If the Rebels hold it together this weekend they will have a good shot at this thing.

It's the UCI; The same fools who dictate a maximum front-axle to crank center measurement that makes it impossible to design a stable frame for very tall guys; And the same UCI who dictates the color/length of socks; And the same UCI who prohibited camelbaks because they would "give an aerodynamic advantage". +1 Yep that is the same group of yahoos.
