http://www.tunnelflight.com/pages/flyers/flyer.php?id=99999 Please take a look at first checkbox in Flyers Rating Chart - MAXIMUM 250 lbs if over 6 feet. An certified IBA instructors will think twice before flying with person who is more than 250 lbs - it could be VERY unsafe as for flyer and of course for the instructor. So it could be problem for Freezone Moscow, because the safety first.

Here is not a video, a picture only from Airkix Picture Gallery.

As far i know, it is some kind of a rent car with a driver.
-
I don't know exactly. Probably not free - too long distance. Just ask them.

Hi, It's about 100 km one way from DZ to Freezone... Is not too much for every day trip, is it? http://www.aerograd.ru/index_en.html - Aerograd useful info.

12" SkyVenture type vs. 16" Bedford for firsttimer
KRBKV replied to milan.resko's topic in Wind Tunnels
Milan, It was pleasure to work with all of you. Thank you! You all are always welcome! Good luck! Ivan -
Just to give you full information. The official web-page of Freezone Moscow windtunnel is the only one - realfly.ru/en

FYI These two hotels are only hotels in near with English speaking staff. The other could be cheaper, but without russian guide you will be dumb and deaf. Just to let you see the full picture.

Hi! The closest one is Olympisky Hotel - appr. 10 km from the tunnel. The another one is appr. 40 km far away from the tunnel - rus-hotel.ru The difference in cheapest room's cost - 1000 RUR. Both rooms have two single beds. 3000 RUR - Olympisky Hotel vs. appr. 1900 RUR (discounted for our guests from regular 2800 RUR) - Rus-Hotel (rus-hotel.ru) As far i know, in Olympisky Hotel it is possible to request one additional bed. A taxi cab from the Olympisky Hotel costs 500 RUR, and from Rus-Hotel - appr. 2000 RUR. Sometimes we are able to pick up/bring people from/to Olympisky Hotel by our van of it's available. Free of charge. Good luck.

12" SkyVenture type vs. 16" Bedford for firsttimer
KRBKV replied to milan.resko's topic in Wind Tunnels
Our tunnel is much bigger than 12" (12 inches) - 12 feet (12') -
I don't understand the necessity of it. Are you not enough confident in safety instructor's or controller's duty? And i other hand, you will spend the same amount of time to give the sign to instructor (controller) or to correct the wind speed by yourself. Good luck!

News from our tunnel. The concrete work is done and the assembling crew is working on the structural steel. One of the RAT (return air tower) is on its place. I will add current pictures to my Facebook page in a couple of days. Good luck!
-
Yes, it is not still finished yet.
-
Hi. Rumors only. Officially that tunnel is not open for visitors yet. But from time to time people are flying there.
-
I would like to answer all your questions, but i know only what i see and what i have heard from person in charge. After the first level of structural steel was assembling, the concrete should be done up to the projected top. (Now wavy concrete is on ca. -400 mm from the projected top) And 3-7 days after the pouring the concrete the assembling team could continue its job with the structural steel. As i said before, there is an official permition from the local ministry of construction to proceed such order of assembling.

Yes, you right it looks like, but the basement is not complete yet. In our case constructor's supervisory officials in Russia gave us a solid prescription to finish the concrete once we assemble first level of steel. As of yesterday, the first level of steel is done and the construction team is preparing the form to finish work with concrete. It takes one more week. And in the meantime the fitting crew will assemble the entire parts: fans, diffusor, turning vans, louvers, etc. - all the parts that will be placed on the skeleton.
-
Could you please explain, what you did you mean? Thanks!
-
Hello again! Here are some new pictures from us. Each day gives us new view on the backyard. All the parts were moving from the warehouse to the site. The construction team is completed and working hard. We are crossing the fingers.

I am not Vadimus actually, but i am sure he doesn't have anything against if i will answer. Yes, 16-footer is building up. The concrete basement was done before Christmas and New Year. Here is the link to my page. The engineer from Skyventure is onsite to control the construction process. The skeleton of the tunnel will grow up. There is no exact opening date, but we are expecting the first flight late Spring. I will let you know.

Mik, Yes, it is possible. You should reach "Anino" station (grey line down, the last station before the end of the line). From "Anino" there are two ways. The first one - a taxi cab that costs 1500-2000 RUR. The other one - our van, that could pick you up from the same station. In this case please call our manifest and request for picking up in advance. Sometimes our van is picking up from "Anino" our staff in the morning at 7 and in the evening at 16 or 19. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Yes, correct remark. Thank you! We are working on it. Translation is done and site will be refreshing soon. I will let you know.

In your opinion snail mail is better than 4 hours long flight?
-
with the pieces that were built for our tunnel ?? oh well... not complaining, would just have preferred that the tunnel was first built at 30 minutes drive from home, rather than at a 4h flying distance... By the way. All these pieces are already on the place. And the construction team is waiting for the next week to start building up the skeleton. So... Please, be patient a little bit more...

We will try to find enough customers for our two tunnels.
