That reminds me. Paul Geivett is suppose to be at the WSHS opening today revealing all his KC information to interested reporters. I wonder how the WSHS opening went. If you look on a map you will see the Willamette and Columbia river meet above Fazios. The Oregon side has the faster current and the Wa side slower. Hi, GC148 here, I 100% appreciate your response, all the letters typed or hand written all had handwriting on the envelopes, even playboy cutout sent to Oregonian. You will notice the only time cooper breaks his pattern of handwriting is in the first letter to Oregonian (1971) the lower case 'n's only because he was staring at the news paper as he wrote it to make sure he spelled right you must look at all of it not just one part unless you can look at 13 different pieces of evidence at one time. It will always be hard to solve any crime. Hi, Paul Geivett here AKA GC148 The Grey Cop I have lived in Clark County my entire life and have spent more of my time than any other in the Washougal river area. Mainly in the Silver Star area. This is the mountain range that starts the Washougal rivers, there are two. This also starts the lower Lewis river that flows through La Center. The upper Lewis river starts on the South flanks of Mt St Helens, after passing through a series of dams that form three lakes. The lowest lake being Lake Merwin at Ariel, which then flows through Woodland and the two rivers reconnect at the lower Lewis, which then empties into the mighty Columbia. I have hunted the entire lower river road area where the DB Cooper money had been found. I live across the river from PDX Airport and view the runway Cooper's plane used that stormy night in 1971. I have jet skied the Columbia for over 20 years in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees F up to over 100. Snow skied Mt Hood my entire life, climbed Mt St Helens, and ride my motorcycles along the Lewis river highway. A route that takes me past Ariel dam on my way to Cougar Washington, putting me through La Center Wa at the beginning and end of each trip. As you can see, I live with and along Cooper's flight path along Vector 23. I watch jetliners leaving PDX. I love watching them leave in storms from our living room window . I think of DB Cooper ever time. In the 1980's, when I was still in my 20's, I purchased my first small home in downtown Vancouver on 27th st. Located close to vector 23 again. This was after the DB Cooper money had been found and I had long forgotten the name of the family that had found the money. A Lot of older people in my neighborhood had military backgrounds and lived close to the Veterans Hospital. Most people do not realize that Clark county has a US military history stretching back to the late 1800's (officers row Ft Vancouver etc) One day a man from across the street approached me and a long conversation ended with him stating to me, and I quote: "The people that found the DB Cooper money lived right next door to you before moving to California" I thought this was interesting, then he stated: " I have always wondered how it could still have the rubber bands on it" this was something I had never heard about (the rubber bands) until then. He then told me: " They had pulled up in a boat, and the children were told where to dig a firepit..and that is when it happened, the money was found that way" So I started to see if I could find out something more about this, and learned the name of the people: The Ingrams, and it was Brian that had found the money. The next time I approached my neighbor, I stated " So it was the Ingrams that lived next door to me" he looked puzzled and said no, it was B.A. "The Ingrams must be the people he took down to the river in his boat" This confused me.. The official story was that Brian Ingram had been walking along and saw a bundle of money while gathering kindling for a fire. When his father realized what his son had found, he allegedly dug near the same spot with a stick, unearthing a completely separate bundle, but of the same denomination: $20 bills. $2000 per bundle. After continuing to look with no avail, they decided to call the Clark County Sheriff, who then immediately notified the FBI. After the FBI had looked for several days with the assistance of a backhoe and operator supplied by nearby Fazio Brothers gravel quarry, the FBI found an additional bundle of money bringing the total found to $6000. Now my neighbor looked at me as confused and puzzled as I had been earlier. I simply assumed my neighbor did not have the correct story, which was completely understandable to me, but he looked at me with absolute certainty, almost with a smile on his face and said: " No, all the money was found at one time and they were digging a firepit" Then it happened, then he told me something that would only be known to the people that were on the beach that day, not even the FBI. "It was really the little girl that unearthed the money, not the other kid (Brian) She was too scared and shy to go in front of the news reporters and cameras" Now I knew someone was hiding something and still didn't understand the BA Connection... I soon learned it. My neighbor told me BA _____________where the Cooper money had been found.. He told me and I quote: "BA kept saying how badly the FBI had treated the Ingrams, one of them had actually gone to jail on an out of state warrant. I really started to research the finding of the money. I thought for sure the I would find out where the little girl had now taken credit for finding the money, but no. So now I knew there were still secrets being kept about how the DB Cooper money was found. My reference to Frenchman's bar was regarding my encounter with Larry Carr, Brian Ingram, and the geologist. They were actually filming on Frenchman's bar BECAUSE it was easier access for the film crew. We all know the actual incident occurred at Tina's bar. I observed L. Carr, B. Ingram, and others (Authors, film crew etc) leave on a small boat from the Tina Bar boat ramp to go to the actual location. No one goes to this area to swim because of all the "Cattle" related runoff that enters the Columbia at the location. The gentleman who referenced Frenchman's bar is correct, there was a coin box on the green and white trimmed house, that was always so full, that the money was falling on the ground. The local hippies would break into it for beer money. I remember the grey and red tractor that the farmer used to pull people out when they got stuck in the sand (a common occurrence) Gone now, are the red barns (with the river murals painted on them) and the large silo that you drove by.
