Terruko, I responded to your last post. I too want to get my AFF and was looking at Jersey Shore or Cross Keys Freefall Adventure (since they have larger planes). I could give you a lift depending the days you want to go.

I've jumped with Jerseyshore three times tandem (not for cert) and they were always super nice. I've been talking with Mike (I'm assuming the owner) about setting up certification lesson's. He has been really nice and informative. He told me to call back end of the month/Early April. I think the other posters are right, all they have is Cessna's. The jumps I did I jumped out of two separate planes and they each held only four jumpers. If you decide to go there I wouldn't mind starting this adventure with someone if you are up for it. I'm actually not to far from your location (zip 08540). I've found a closer DZ then the ranch in PA that are close too, but Skydive Jersey Shore has been the closest.

I am the same way. There were a few times that I was close to clicking because some how that get my last name on the account, the the three/four digits was wrong. A general hover of the link also helps too, but best practice is go to type the site in yourself like you said.

Watch the horizon on the way up; it should ease you. When you exit there isn't a drop in your stomach like a roller-coaster so there is no need to be worried about that. It is about a 60 second freefall and then a 10-15 minute glide/float back to the ground. That is the most peaceful part. When your instructor pulls down on the toggles the canopy will inflate and go completely quiet. It is amazingly peaceful. You will have a great time. No need to be nervous. Have fun! (*disclaimer: I'm pretty new to this so my terminology might not be prefect, but I've done a few tandems to know the experience.)

I honestly feel your pain. I live in the NE and I've been waiting patiently to begin my jumps. This weekend it is supposed to be in the 60's. I contacted my local DZ to see if they will be opening up/holding AFF lessons this weekend. I really hope they get back to me and the answer is yes. Can't wait. Good luck!
