really don't think watching violent movies has kept us from feeling the horror and pain when violence happens for real. i agree i think that destroys any argument ppl have about tv desensitising you being in australia i felt sick watching it live and i have never been near new york and im a fan of war and action movie. i think when ppl watch movies they switch off but the world was shattered when it saw this

skyhawk, what you are doing now is rationalizing and dragging this out unnecessarily. Imagine if most of the people on this forum were South African and not American. Imagine then that some young skydiver from another country posted to this forum asking about 'waffirs' (ie white kaffirs). How do you feel a black South African skydiver would feel reading that? " australia has on quite a number of times helped in any way we can, which is quite hard with our distance etc. Recently america was ablaze and we sent fire fighters over, wars like vietnam (sp) which we had nothing to do with we didnt go there because we wanted to we went to help the us. the australian government and ppl has been behind the us for many years and will ALWAYS help the us no matter what it is.
