    What a dinner

I wanted a steak and my wife wanted fish, so we went to Timber Lodge Steakhouse in Appleton, WI tonight. My wife had a thick ole slab of Prime Rib, and I had a huge Walleye fillet (eat yer heat out, jceman). Amazing how what you want changes every time you look at the menu.... It's your life, live it! 3. Be glad. You don't really want a reference from someone that can't cross the street correctly. And can't even hide it from the cops. Sheez. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  4. Duh, I also forgot, as long as I am at Rantoul this year (in other words, if I don't have to go back over the road before then), Sadie will be with my wife, daughter, and I. We'll probably get a stroller to push her around in, though was also have a harness we use to lift up her back end (after which she takes off running!) She'll be waiting for lots and lots of petting! 6. Workin on in, workin on it. hehehehehe Skin. Lots of skin. And my rig..... Probably tomorrow sometime, when everyone else is out of the house (kinda hard to take that kind of picture with the house full of kids). p.s. I already have the parachute one, autographed by Mr. Germain himself (and NO, I didn't ask him to sign it "To: D.G." ) I'll take 'em though, right to the dz and let people read 'em. 7. There's nothibng tough about this, Val. I know you better than this, or at least I hope I do. i'll put this in perspective, from my point of view. A few months ago my Cocker Spaniel Sadie jumped off the back of our sofa onto our (slippery) hardwood floors. She slipped, and twisted her back, sklipping a disk and causing (probably) irreversable spinal cord damage. We didn't notice at first, just that she stopped jumping up to get her treats. She also wouldn't jump in our back door. It got worse. Eventually she was just dragging her limg hind quarters around the house. She is now paralized fro the base of her rib cage down. She was very bad off for some time. She was fighting infections constantly, and her spirits were understandably low. I don't know how she survived, but she did. She also has no control over bodily functions. We carry her outside 3 times a day, since she cannot walk there by herself. We have to express the urine usualy, though on occasion it will flow, and she poops pretty much whenever the food gets through her body, no matter where she is. After all that, she's still my girl, and still with us. The comparison i was given was with my mother. If my mother was oparalyzed from the chest down, couldn't walk, and couldn't control her bodily functions, would I have her "put down?" No, I wouldn't, and Sadie is just as much family as my mother, wife, or children are. She has depended on me since she could walk, and now that she's down I'm not about to walk out and give up on her. Think about it. I personally don't think there's an option, and I don't think you do either. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  8. Should i be offended that you're recommending he doesn't let me do it? The only way I could suggest that is if i was able to come with, so.... I recommend either Northshore, or sending plane tickets to both Sunshine and myself. Oh, yea, gas money would be cool too. And money for hotel rooms. No, suites! with a king size bed! and Champagne! 9. About 7 years ago I entered the world of over-the-road truck driving via car-haul. I loved it so much that I still miss it to this day, and may be doing it again very soon. When I started I drove for Auto Transport Express of Slinger, WI and mike Squared Trucking of Neosho, WI (both the same owners). These companies are long gone, absorbed by larger corporations, but one broker that I picked up from, and delivered to, a great deal of times, is still there, in Glenview, IL, a north 'burb of the Windy City. The company name is Northshore Auto Transport Ltd. This is a small brokerage company (or at least was, it may have gotten bigger), and the service from them was A1. They are capable, honest, fair, and downright good people. I would have no problems using them myself if I needed to move. I doubt they would remember me though, it's been a long time, but I still remember, and respect, them. As far as the price, it sounds fair to me, though you might get a bit cheaper quote from Northshore. I'm sure if they quote higher, they'll at least match your quote, as long as you give them a reputable broker name. Remember, these are just brokers, and if you get a lowball quote, it's quite possible your jeep will sit for some time waiting for a truck that's desperate to fill an empty spot. The TTT (to the truck) $$$ for that $800 is going to be closer to $500, and that's really cutting it close with todays fuel and insurance prices. It's your life, live it! 11. Ok slight change to the plate, you knew it would happen. But mine is JJJUMP I don't have a skydive vanity plate, though I DO have the plate in WI labeled "EARGASM" from when I used to own a custon stereo installation shop. They are expired, but i still have them, and thus could re-instate them. I'm positive WI wouldn't issue them now if they were available (G*d D*mn F*cking PC B*llsh*t). The people that originally trained me at Wolf River Skydivers in Shiocton WI have an amazing assortment of plates. In fact, Kim N Cap have cool simple ones. Cap has "JUMP", and Kim has "JUMPED." 14. I have a TRV-19, which is the cheap version of the 33. It does video quite well, which is what we want. That said, I see you have not listed your jump numbers. That's no big deal, as you can see that I also only have 2 jumps. The problem I see is that you have a B license number (27650) that is so new that the numbers in the April 2005 Parachutist fall 80 short of it. That says more of your experience than the number of jumps, IMO. For this reason, I strongly suggest you seek a mentor at your local DZ. Ask him/her a great deal of questions, and most importantly, LISTEN!

  18. The exact same thing was said about micro mv. riggerrob might have something else to say though. Ask him about his glove mounts, and what they are mostly used with.... For casual jumpers and tandems both, this could be a big hit. For back to back team jumpers, maybe not. I like the no moving parts. That usually means increased battery life. It's your life, live it!
