I was wandering around cyberspace in a daze, as usual, and found myself once again on Square1's website. Gee, I wonder how that always ends up happening? Anyway, I noticed this new little product: Altimaster Neptune Coming soon? This looks like a way cool piece of equipment, kinda a cross between the Digitude and a Pro Track. Any ideas on a release date, and possible pricing? It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

I think what Chris is saying could be combined with what others were saying. Fayard may be in tough times right now, as the winter has been difficult for many businesses. Does this mean we abandon them? No. Does it mean we need to be skeptics? No. We all should be aware of the quality of the craft we jump out of, at all times. This Chapter 11 does not mean that there will be crappy maintenance, nor does it imply that that we should turn from Fayard. If nothing else, it gives us an attitude check. Remember, these few big planes are what keep us jumping in comfort. Sure, keep your eyes open, as you should have been doing all along, but please, do not abandon an entire company when they may need you the most! Chapter 11 allows restructuring and gives a bit of time to get caught up on bills. Getting the wrong idea about this can possibly turn many away from them, and turn a chapter 11 into a chapter 7. Do you people want to go back to 182's, or do you like jumping from nice big, fast birds? Keep your eyes open, but please, keep jumping too! p.s. Never met anyone from Fayard personally, but these are the people that really keep us flying in comfort. It's your life, live it! I just checked my laptop, since it hadn't finished yet, and the work unit it is still on isn't even on the list anymore! It's p620, and the ones around it are listed, but this one isn't. hmmm, I guess I'll wait till it finishes and see what happens. It's your life, live it! Ya know, I'm hopefully about to go back to work very soon and I've been planning on donating to HH's beer fund, and maybe even get an Eloy video out of Deuce in the process but I gotta know, does HH wear that damn mask in the video too, or is that just for the posted pictures here on DZ.com? You need to know which project number you are working on (listed in the console text file) and go here: http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html. Look it up, and it gives the values. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

An AAD is not a substitute for poor rigging and/or rig maintenance. There is absolutely no reason for a hard pull on the main, but due to sloppy pilot chute packing it happens (It happened to me). There is absolutely NO reason for a hard pull on the reserve in a no pull situation, period. AAD or not, that reserve ripcord should be checked for tension every day, if not before every jump, as well as the cutaway cables. Was this his rig, or a rental? How long ago was owners maintenance done to the rig? Sure, the AAD saved his life, but with proper maintenance, the AAD wouldn't have needed to save his life. It's your life, live it! There were plenty of questions before about being able to change user names, and it has been stated that no, you cannot change your name. Might I suggest the option to remove your username from the site, in interest of getting an accurate count of registered users? For example, a while ago, I originally registered under iskydiveto, since that was my email address everywhere else. After Rantoul 2002, I decided to change to this name, as it's what everyone knows me as. I would like the option of cancelling my old username, thus having only one of me here. I'm sure there are plenty more out there that would do the same thing, especially if asked to only have one registered username. It's your life, live it!
