  4. Yep. Dual head video card and 2 flatscreens. Probably even have some left over, maybe even enough for a cheap mp3 player. Edit to add: Sounds good (above) but what am I saying!?!?!?!? I have no freaking clue what I would do without my laptop. Forget what I said, get a laptop. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  6. Bikes are too dangerous. None that I know of are Cypres ready. Sucks, since you need to be sure you are in a wide open area before you ride it out the back of the skyvan. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  9. Nah. I've got a hard wired CAT5 network in the home, and right now my extra $$$ is going for parts for a new computer and camera flying gear. Eventually I'll go wireless in home too, but not for awhile. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  11. Beats me! Whatever the city is offering. I'm stuck with a capped 300k download/128k upload cable line (cause I ain't gonna pay out the nose for higher downloads, and still get stuck with 128k up). The city became an ISP a short time ago. The bill shows up just like the water bill. $32.95 a month for 1.5 meg up AND down. The only drawback is I lose my newsgroup access. Oh, well, Google it is! It's your life, live it! 12. Thanks for the reply Quade. I'd love to actually touch one of these, but living up here in the middle of Bum F@#k Wisconsin, nobody carries anything worth holding! My second option to driving many hours just to look at one is asking here for opinions of it. Let us know your final impressions, and the LANC port issue. My purchase hinges on that opinion! 13. Wierd. Sony's website (as I linked to) says the TRV 19 has a LANC, but the review site saya it does not? Did Sony change something? OK, does anyone actually HAVE one of these? I sure ain't gonna order it with conflicting information! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  14. Cable modem now (that's what I voted for), for switching over to 1.5 meg bidirectional wireless veeeeeeeery soon! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  15. Hmmm, must be "The Curse of the Otter". Wow, we could film a movie about that! A bunch of cabin fevered skydivers go berserk in Milwaukee. Yea, that'd work! Me, I'm off to Missouri for that very reason......warmer! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

    puter crash

That's what I was thinking. When I reformatted my C drive and installed 2000 on it, I just migrated the stuff I wanted to save over to D, installed, and moved it back. No problems! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  17. 199 And i should have another work unit in shortly. It's finished, just not on the board yet. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  18. I'm sure Quade could answer this better, and maybe if we're lucky, he will. You have/had a PC style? I guess that depends on where you had the PC mounted, and if it was in a D box or not. The TRV style is like the older style of camcorders, short, fat, and long. The PC's are thinner and taller. The D boxes are different. If you were using a side mount, I'd say probably not, though I'm sure people have done it. If you were using a top mount for the PC then, yup, as long as it wasn't in a D box. 19. I tried that link, and was happy to see it did say it had a LANC port. Then I saw it was a link for a TRV 38. Oops! I dug a little more and found this:TRV 19 This page does show the TRV 19 as having a LANC port. That pretty much made up my mind! Now to sneak it past the wife.... It's your life, live it! 20. Pro's? Con's? I'm finally thinking of ditching the crappy JVC. (In other words, I think I can sneak this purchase by my wife) I want a TRV style camera, and this is the cheapest I've found with firewire. Does anyone here use one? I also have to ask, does it have a LANC port? It's not listed on sony's website, like it is for some other cameras. I don't want to buy one and still not be able to use a CamEye. Any opinions? 21. Yes, that site is freaking awsome! I went digging in my memory banks and thoughts of what my father did during Vietnam. Yep, I found his base:Spangdahlem Air Base My father was photo recon, and he's got some pictures that would blow your mind! What they fail to mention was his job. He loaded film on SR-71s at this base, briefed the pilots on their missions (either over the U.S.S.R., Red China, or Nam), then waited for the film to come back. He told me that he saw a few of the same birds over and over, but never briefed the same pilot twice. Damn, makes me feel like heading over to his house this weekend and brush up on my Communist missle silo finding skills. Thanks for the site, Duece! It's your life, live it! Off to Ohio

Are they flying it on Friday? Cause I've got nothing to do and (god help me for saying this) a trip to Wisconsin sounds like fun. I'm home again. Wonderfully SHITTY weather all the way from Cincinatti to home in Wisconsin. Not looking too good for the rest of the weekend, or next week for that matter. It's your life, live it!
