Funny that... I look at my messy ass lines and think that its gonna be an excellent opening. I was scared this weekend when they were all perfect on one packjob. Of course the nice straight lines resulted in my first diving line twist. It leveled out after a second... Trash packing from now on! Don't blame the lines for a diving opening on your Sabre. I've packed my Sabres in a wide variety of ways, and the only way I've ever been able to get it to open badly was from crappy flaking. On that point, if you are not flaking the canopy fully, chances are you are also causing line burn to the canopy fabric, which will cause it to fail sooner than later. Do whatever you want with your lines. Free stow, tight stow, tube stow, whatever. If you want clean openings, be meticulous about the canopy fabric, over the shoulder, on the floor, and as it goes in the bag. It's your life, live it! That must be Greg Nardi's King Air. I've heard it's the fastest one around, (even faster than Mike Mullan's). I've jumped out of both. Never timed them. They're both faster than hell!......Steve1 Mike is an awsome guy, period. He says what he's thinking, no matter who it's to or about. His plane....WOW.
