I can't see this guy (girl?) at 20 jumps under a 1.2 wingload. 20 jumps is barely enough to understand what you are doing, much less land at speed. She thought about it, she knows the results of her actions, and she chose to change. It's like Justin said earlier, those with the mental capacity to handle it need direction, not expectations. Ya done good, mama. Dave, I know it just might get worse, but 2 of my 4 here have tested at Mensa level. I went through this last year with the 12 year old. Poor grades, not applying himself. So I dug and found out all the different things he wanted to do with his life. Wouldn't you know it, every one involved a very high GPA to get into good schools, and very difficult classes. When he saw what he needed to do, he applied himself. Last year's 4th quarter: 3 A's, a B, a C, and 2 D's. This year so far: 6 A's and a B+ (Which he's pissed about). All it took was a little direction. He knows if he fails, he gets punished. Passing grades will save him, but all summer the phrase "You want fries with that?" got used quite a bit, since I told him that's the only job he would find with his current grade levels.
