I quit cold turkey from almost 2 packs a day, 6 months and 3 days ago. I quit with a pack that had 3 smoke out of it, and 6 or 7 packs still in the carton. What's more important? 1200 would be good for starters, or if you pace yourself for the convention. I could blow twice that the first day i was there at the vendors alone. As far as jumps, figure an average of $20 a jump times how ever many a day you want to do (10+ is quite easy to do there) times 10 days. Then add more for a Helio, Balloon, and other specialty aircraft (such as a C130, DC3, Pitts BiPlane, ect....whatever shows up) You would be over 3 grand VERY fast. Um, Leroy, yea, it is. As i posted earlier, there are still 2 possible outcomes to every jump. You live, or you die. The rest is just details. We have faster, bigger planes. We have modernized equipment, including 3 ring releases and piggy back containers. That's all good, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it is a 100% fatal sport, unless you get some kind of intervention between the plane and the ground. That's dangerous, and extreme.
