    Be careful with Samsung. I bought a new Samsung washer and dryer (smaller front loaders) in 2005. The dryer was fine for about 3 years and then the belt broke. I replaced that belt every 2 months until I replaced the dryer completely last year with an LG. The washer is still running fine but I will be replacing it with the matching LG washer soon (the Samsung is just too small for me now). 'Shell

    For both my rescues, I had a meeting and home inspection before I adopted them. This was a requirement with BoxerRescue because they wanted to be sure that they would fit in at my home and would not be sent back. Keep in mind most rescues are traumatized in some way. Good rescue organizations want to be SURE that they are sending the animals in their care to a good FOREVER home. Yes, it can be difficult. Yes, they are strict. And I'm glad they are since most of the purebreds out there in rescue were probably sold by a breeder to someone that eventually didn't want them. For Bug, because she was located 9 hours one way from me, they sent over someone local to do the home meeting. For Tucker, his foster mom came to town once a month so she came by with him to meet me and Bug. For both of them, I drove out to pick them up and bring them home. ----- And Marcel, sorry for the thread hi-jack. SO glad Chloe is doing well. Can't wait to meet her!! ----- 'Shell

    Wow. Pretty harsh. Parvo can attack ANY dog, purebred or otherwise. And like Marcel said, had he NOT taken the puppy home and then to the vet, it could very well have died. So he did rescue it. Marcel, I hope your little one makes it through this! 'Shell

    Here at the UofA (Canada) Vacation time 15 days when you start 20 days after 5 years 25 days after 16 years 30 days after 23 years 10 days paid casual illness leave per year Plus all stat holidays off and we close between Christmas and the New Year. Any OT worked can either be used as banked time or you can get paid out (or a combo of both). 'Shell

    Well, most of you know that I lost my big white dorky boxer, Herc, in December. And Bug, my little white deaf girl, was so lonely. So, off I went to find another baby to fill the void. After searching and searching and failing and failing, I FINALLY found one through BoxerRescueCanada (where I found Bug) and picked him up TODAY!!! Bug is beside herself with JOY over having a brother (and EARS!) in the house again and I think Tucker is pretty happy to be here too! They are pretty much played out as I type this ... sleep will be "like the dead" for both of them tonight! So, here's my new dude, TUCKER!!! 'Shell

    My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee would do this same thing every now and then. Wonky mirrors and the driver's seat would go all the way forward. I recently had a remote starter installed in it and since I've switched to the remote on that, I haven't had a problem. I know ... no help whatsoever but since I've had the same problem, at least you're not crazy! 'Shell
