world wide poll: do instructors overload their reserves
Bowie replied to darnknit's topic in Instructors
I just been so lucky to use a pd 113 for a few jumps (thanks to Jesper from PD for having such a large amount of demo canopies here in Europe) and found that canopy good enough for me in my new rig. But i am glad i tested it before being forced to use one. Am currently having a 143 in my rig but have still never used my reserve on 1600 jumps. Bowie Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg -
Hmm not that i know anything about crw but the new danish video rules says that you can jump crw camera with 50 crw jumps but for filming freefly and fs you need 150 of each specific jump??? is that another mistake made in these new rules. I know of the biggest one (a wingsuit flier is not allowed to fly next to a open canopy) and for someone that loves to buss tandem that SUCKS Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

After jumping Prodogy for the first time i had the same thought as outranger. The suit is so easy to fly, deploy, get stable in that it was a joke flying it. I like it just as much as my other suits.. But if new birds don't get the basic instruction when will they then get it, if there is no BMI/PFI or experienced WS flyer at there littel local Dz that is my concern... But with these suits the FFC jump number could be much lower.. . Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

BMI Don Yahrling found dead today in Deland
Bowie replied to SkymonkeyONE's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I meet Don at Oester Aera in Norway where i had the pleasure to pick him up in the airport. And keep him company in the bar when he was telling stories about how terrible the AFF wannabe's had been jumping that day.. He will be remembered fly free my friend.. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg -

I can see that Andy havent gotten better at navigating since the herc boogie, or is your landingarea a potato field. Hope to see ya all i Russia next year i heard some guys is planning to make a wingsuit boogie over there instead of the Herc 2006... Bo Wienberg Denmark Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

What about making a system like Multi and then free stoving the lines behind an extra side wall attached to the bottom of the container. that would make a no resistant opening and first releasing the lines when there is line stretch this would also prevent tension knot. Yes i mean sniveling. And yes i know it is supposed to do so but for 3000 ft that is a long time. The Vector instruction manual advise you to deploy at 4500 ft.. That gives you 1500 ft to find out you have a mal and you even has to help the reserve opening by yanking the rear risers like a horney monkey Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

I post this because i have now only heard about scary vector tandem mals. The first one lineover on easy 425 sqft cutaway 4000 ft tandem reserve streaming till 900 ft. The Second i have no detail about but about the same thing about the reserve streaming for a loong time. The third happend this weekend after drouge release 5500 ft the drouge is getting ripped off at the canopy attachment point. The bag then falls down on TM's legs he cutaway and have a streaming reserve with slider sitting about 1,5 m up on the lines causing the now half open reserve to stall banging the nose cells togehter. He pulls the back risers and under 1000 ft he gets the slider down so the canopy flies stable. I only have 85 tandems and i have started to wonder if this is normal for tandem reserves "to stream for a loong time" if so what if i have a problem in low altitude about 3500 ft will my reserve save the life of me and my passenger.??? What is your experience on this??? I trust my sports rig below 1000 ft I trust my BASE rig below 300 ft. But i dont know about my tandem anymore and that scares the shit out of me.. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

If i was to use it for BASE yes it is a problem. But hanging in 2000 ft or higher i cant see the problem Yet. But i will try it out this weekend;o) Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

Got mine too yesterday and i am told it is a Chick magnet. It looks very cool and the quality looks very fine too. I think the velcro less cut system didn't work as planned so they attached velcro to solve that problem. it is much faster to put the excess lqrs cable int the booty as mentioned before. as for the loop for the arm zipper i tried to unzip a few times and holding the grippers works fine. try it before you mod your suit. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

Or maybe he just invented a new way to pull looks cool Glad he lived. Stay safe Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

I was on the FJC at kjerag 2 month ago. I am very impressed about the quality of the course. There is very skilled instructors up there. 1500 nkr might seem as a lot of money for the course. But the instructors keep going with you until you are safe enough to jump on your own. I made a slider down jump just after i got home and i had no doubt about anything because the instruction i has at Kjerag. I can only recommend the course. Bo Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

Cant find any info for the PD. But on your advise i am surfing morpheus homepage right now. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

No i am buying all new the vertex 2 is one of the newer models as far as i know. I Have heard nothing but good about Flick and buying a gargoyle will be much more expensive when not buying a canopy the same place. Or have i heard that one wrong.. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

No i live in Denmark and the highest point is 412 ft 125 m so i am also going to jump slider down. But i live only 8 hours from Kjerag (I think this location is accepted to mention here) and Wingsuit is my goal haven't jumped WS BASE yet. Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

Hi anybody have a opinion of the Merlin container. I am considering to buy a new rig but cant figure out what container to buy. I think the the canopy will be a flick 266 vtec. I heard the wingsuit designed containers haven't the effect that they are designed for when using that size of canopy?? besides the merlin i am considering vertex2 Bo Bo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg
