Alright smartass, let me rephrase. Where would someone else find information regarding an Aerodyne canopy that is apparently company supplied information since it is not posted on their website ? Many manufacturers post suggested jump numbers right where they describe their equipment or somewhere on their website. I was looking to independently verify that information. But you go ahead and believe everything you read on the internet.

This is news to me. Where do you find the 500 jump minimum ?

Have never heard this. Your source?

I would think it's a little snappier than a Sabre 2 or a Saf. Close to maybe a stiletto, but still more forgiving. I really like it, but it has a pretty quick recovery. I haven't flown a crossfire, but I would think they are about the same level of sporty but the Zulu has a very short recovery arc.

I fly a Zulu and love it, but I think it would be a step down from a Katana

*not an expert on gear mods* BUT if Sunpath is willing to do the work, I would suggest at $150 for a rig that fits really well you have an easy decision. As to how good the fix is, again, if Sunpath does the work, I'd expect it to be up to manufacturer's standards (good to very good).

What did you end up doing ? I jump a Zulu and love it, so it's funny to see you liked it over the Saf3/Pilot.

Hi Doyle, Packing both the reserve and a main that *might* fit based on close comparisons will make your rigger complain. I'd try and avoid comparing the I4 and VC3 tray sizes because the VC3 has a slightly different shape...and completely different rig. I bought my Curv from RI and I would suggest you email them and ask them direct. As much as the VC4 isn't "as cool", other people have suggested that you can sell them for close to what you pay for them. And the VC3 isn't much cooler, haha. As for the Ultralight canopies, I have two of them (one base) and they aren't the same as ZP. They will wear out faster.

Hi Doyle, I don't think you'll want to pack a VC3 that tight. I jump a VC3 and have a 160 nano in it and a 150 Zulu main. I don't know how you'd get a 190 reserve in there... Steve

Hey Jenny, I was talking to someone about the Sena's. They have a new one out, I think the 30 that looks pretty rad. Let me know what everyone's thinking of getting so I'm not the odd one out, haha.

I jump a Zulu and love it. However, the question to ask is what you want out of the canopy. The Zulu opens nicely, quickly but comfortably and typically on heading. It has a very fast recovery arc. It is snappy on toggles. I think its great. If you plan on getting into higher performance landings, maybe the CF3 is a better fit for you as it has a much longer recovery arc. This is where my experience is limited, I don't swoop.

Voodoo Curv rig size and Pilot ZPX pack volume
anomie168 replied to prahphecy's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hey Prahphecy, I was loading my 168 at 1.13 and I started flying it around 50 jumps. I moved to a 152 at around 120 jumps. Progression seems to be a little quicker in Canada. -
Voodoo Curv rig size and Pilot ZPX pack volume
anomie168 replied to prahphecy's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hey, I love my Curv 2.0 VC3 ! When I first got it, I had a 168 Pilot ZPX in it, it fit. Now I have a 152 Zulu ZP in it. I wouldn't want to try packing a 188 ZPX into it. -
Thanks for all the articles Annette, its been nice to have these to read, aside from them all being great !
