  1. Probably humor. Also free speech and freedom of expression. Guys like Lenny Bruce and George Carlin have pissed off a lot of people using those two things also. And in doing so, they changed laws about censorship. A lot of people probably called them "steaming turds" too for their rude profanity. You're defending a woman who has openly admitted it was a mistake and what she did was wrong. There was no cause she was doing this for it was disrespectful plain and simple. Insulting the dead who don't have the ability to challenge you is about as cowardly as it gets. Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.
  2. You mean like Rosa Parks, Martin King, Henry Thoreau and Mahatma Gandhi? Were they douchebags? You serious? Those were famous people that got recoginzed for doing something important. You think that girl was like any of the above you mentioned? She some sort of hero at their caliber? None you mentioned above was some silly "antiauthoritarian" who got negative attention for being stupid. They actually did something important. One didn't want trouble, One actually got out and created an organization to challenge unfairness, one used a considerable amount of personal dicipline and education to stand up to the Brits, one was published. The original "Breaking the rules" poster made no distinction in his comment regarding the importance of the rule being broken. And those people I mentioned weren't all that famous until AFTER they had won their cause. There shouldn't be separate more lenient rules for law-breaking just for famous people. So carpediem3, What exactly was her cause? Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.
  3. Absolutely not. What I am saying is there isn't anyone blaming the drug for the problem in that case. They are both horrible things that have happened but the people are to blame not the objects that caused their deaths. There are also just as strict laws on prescription drug and those laws aren't helping the situation at all. I guess what I'm saying is people need to take responsibility for their actions. It is the person who is ultimately responsible. If the person is underage then they have gotten them illegally. I lock up all my guns so unless you break into my safe your not getting one. I know very few people who lock up their prescription drugs when they have children in the house. Again my point was if some person gets a hold of a canopy that is heavily wingloaded, gun, prescription drug and then gets hurt it is ultimately their fault when something bad happens. If it is an item assigned to someone such as a gun or prescription drugs and it is found in the hands of someone other than the owner, it is the owner who should be found responsible. Laws will not solve the problem here. We have laws on illegal drugs and they are still an epidemic in this country. They are completely outlawed for the most part but are more available than a firearm. So why would anyone think that gun laws will fix the problem. Stupid fixes itself which is evident in the story that prompted this thread. Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.
  4. What about this? http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/15/health/deadly-dose-jackson-rummler/index.html?hpt=us_t3 Wouldn't happen if prescription drugs weren't laying around everywhere. Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.
  5. Just a 16-year-old shooting himself in the face. No big deal! Happens everywhere! It wouldn't happen if guns weren't lying around loose all over... Why are the actions of an uneducated person doing something stupid transferred to an entire group of people? Failure to learn about anything that has the potential to kill you and then saying the problem is the availability of guns is not right at all. By this argument I guess all skydivers are irresponsible, because I saw a new jumper get himself a sabre 135 this weekend and hurt himself. This wouldn't happen if parachutes weren't laying around everywhere. Not having any knowledge on firearms and then attacking them is just as bad. EVERYONE should know how to handle and clear one to render it safe and follow BASIC gun safety rules. Cars are just as dangerous if not more so but you don't here anyone screaming to get cars off the streets. I've seen articles where someone had 5 DUI's and then killed someone driving. This is not the fault of the car or the judge or police officer, it's the fault of the person who gets behind the wheel. NO 16 year old should have access to a firearm! If that happens the OWNER of that firearm should be brought up on charges. That is an example of an uneducated gun owner. With great power comes great responsibility and I find it ironic that just about every politician out there who is anti gun walks around with armed guards to protect him or her. Trying to figure out who is going to do something stupid with a gun or who is going to not be responsible is predicting the future. By that argument I would love to see them do the same with Drunk driving because it kills far more people each year then firearm accidents. I don't blame the alcohol or the vehicle, I blame the driver because that is who is responsible. Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.

  11. I think this father has a good shot at beating this rugby players A$$. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adubrj3yya8&feature=fvwrel I'd also like to submit a brother of mine in the running for tough enough to hang. He didn't loose a testicle but he did loose a significant portion of his head. I'd also like to mention he was an avid skydiver. His recovery has been nothing less than remarkable. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/coryremsburg/mystory Trail mix? Oh, you mean M&M's with obstacles.
