  1. Well someone is gonna have to talk to the airlines and get them to cover the 5 grand a rig costs instead of the 2 bucks a pound they currently pay for lost luggage.
  2. Hey JDBoston, Don't you dare critisize the US for what happened to Japan during WWII. If you remember the Japanese started that mess and they got what they deserved. I have no animosity against any Japanese for what they did to us. Alot of the people posting on this thread seem to think that there are just a few people out there that perpetrate this kind of violence when in fact there are entire countries and governments that help and applaud these kinds of actions. We have to find the animals and all who helped them and snuff them out. If we don't, the next group is going to try something larger. We went to war against Japan for the same kind of attack as this and I think it will work out the same way as before, with our boot on there neck.
  3. If McVeigh did this in Italy we would gladly hand him over. And as for religion it is part of the problem it's called "Jihad" or holy war. When we find out who did this we have to make them pay such a large price that it deters others from doing the same. If we don't this type of thing is going to continue.
  4. No not all Arabs are terrorists. I live in Kuwait and work around alot of them. But the ones that are terrorists need to go away.
  5. First you find the people responsible and where they are. If the nation / state that is harboring them doesn't turn them over then you start taking them out until they do. This sounds like the work of our friend Osama bin Laden who is a Saudi, but hides out in various countries unfriendly to the U.S. He has called on all muslims that believe in god to kill Americans and take our money at every opportunity. It's time to put this dog and anybody that helps him down. Of course he might not be responsible but you could apply this to any group.
  6. We will find out who did this and you, can guarantee we will go to war over this. This is bullshit.
  7. Hey MM, If you do do it think about the Navy Res. There is alot less BS with them than the other services (they don't expect you to march). Also a good job to try for is Explosive Ordnance Displosal. You get to dive, maybe jump and use high explosives what more could you ask for.
  8. I've got the money maker. I had "YOUR NAME" tattooed on my ass. I've definitly won(every time) more beer betting girls with it than I've lost(never). I have that one and seven others.
  9. Hey JennLove howsabought posting a picture of your self in the same flavor as Biguns? I'm curious.
  10. Freaksis is there anything going on during the middle of Nov? That's when I'll be in the Dallas area. Man I can't wait to get out of this 3rd plain of hell.
  11. I think new skydivers should have to go thru a coached program. The amount of information and skills that you learn when just starting in the sport is invaluble. You learn the turns, fall rates, exits, the RW position (mantis) all in a more relaxed atmosphere. The goal of which should be to clear you to do 3 ways up to 8 ways. Then when you get your SCR the sky's the limit. Or the ground what ever you prefer. You'll learn more with 8 or 10 coached jumps with a good instructor that 20 flaildives with you and you buddies. imho
  12. Hey Skyhawk I was just at Ramblers a coupla weeks ago. I asked around for you but everyone seemed to think you were working. We mabey I'll see youat the Equinox next year.
  13. No it's not me. I'm stuck in Kuwait right now. Although with those around it would make the time go by a little easier.

    Ahhhhhhh!!!!

After four years off I finally got to jump again. How sweet it was. I went to Australia and did 25 jumps. The first five on student gear then the next 19 on my new Mirage and Safire. On my first jump I got to about 13k and got hypoxic as shit, started taking as big as breaths as a I could. We got to 14 and I couldn't wait to get out of the plane. Of course I was last out so every one went and I got in the door and READY SET GO. Sweet. It was every thing I remembered. I spent two weeks at Ramblers drop zone, it is one of the most enjoyable places I have ever been and can't wait to get back there. For every one on this site I thank you for you input and feed back. I live in Kuwait and am not able to demo gear like the rest of you but through reading the gear reviews and stories I bought a new Mirage and a Safire 189 (205 out the door). It was more fun than I can describe. I just wanted to thank all the Old Hand and Enthusiasts on the site that kept me going over the months and hope to see some of you in November when go to Charleston SC, Dallas TX, and near Panama City FL.
  15. Some body explain the 0:0:0 thing for me. the first one counts for male female fluid exchanges? What do the other two represent?

    ugh

Dude, Some times you just have to decide what you want to do. If you want to skydive then go skydive. If your afraid of dying and that's what is slowing you down then I'm not sure anyone can help you, but if it's some thing you really want to do in your heart then you'll get in the damn airplane and you'll get out of the damn airplane and be relaxed and aware of what's going on and have a good jump. When you get to the ground you'll thank your self and everyone will know by that big shit eaten grin you have on your face. Next thing you know you have beer in your face then pies then more beer then what's her name on your face. By this time you will have forgotten more about being scared than you can remember and just be a regular skydiver.
  17. Could I get a complimentary picture and a autographed canopy please. Thanks

Hello DZ.commers. I would just like to introduce my self. My name is Doug. After 248 days I finally get to take a little time off from my job and get back in the air. I've had a little lay off(4yrs) but am now ready to take to the sky again. I've planned my self a little 14 day welcome back trip to Australia and plan on having as much fun as possible. To all the regulars on the boards I thank you for providing me with some very interesting reading. I've been working in Kuwait for the last 8 months and there ain't shit to do here. I'll be at Ramblers on Friday so any one that jumps there come on out and partake on my many first's. First time in Australia.(1Cs) First time across the equator.(1Cs) First time in Australia across the equator.(1Cs) First time at Ramblers doing my second AFF course.(1Cs) First time driving a right hand drive car.(1Cs) Well you see how this is gonna go so i hope to see you all there. Doug
  19. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaperiod
  20. The Mirage sounds good. I just got mine a month ago. Unfortunately I live and work for the man and don't know any thing about it other than it fits. From what I've read so long as the Saber isn't new it should be all right. There are a ton of canopies out there that are better than the Saber and won't be out dated yesterday. Of course if cash is the problem then a Saber is a good choice. Just my clouded ramblings. The buzzed nomad.
  21. My name is Doug and I work in Kuwait as a Maintenance Supervisor for a government contractor. The money is sweet but the lack of time off, jumping, and beer make it a real drag. Two more week till two weeks in Australia.
  22. Depending on the type of suit that is being used(older) they might pipe hot water to it. Also the jelly fishes tenticles would still be quite effective after going thru the pump.

Hey all, I haven't tried bungee jumping. Has any one done one of those giant swings? We have one in Kuwait that is about 185 feet tall and you get an excellent ground rush.
  24. I live in Kuwait with oil refineries as far as the eye can see. I costs about 7 bucks for 20 gallons of gas. Unfortunatly they do not have a dz or alcohol.
  25. The off duty officers drive around in their cop cars for appearances. How many times have you lifted your foot off the pedal when you've seen them lights on top of the car. Cities get more bang for the buck.
