great thread I've been married for almost 10 years skydived for 3 and have a 3 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. Wife made the mistake(as she says) of buying me my first jump and the rest is history.(I think it was the best thing she ever did for me) But one thing I have always tried to do in my life is now worry about tomorrow just live today for today. So if I get a whole weekend at the dz that's great if I don't well I don't let it get to me. -------------------------------------------------- If your not jumping your not living LEARN TO LIVE (L2L) -

I also bought my first rig on e-bay it was a Mirage G3 mfg nov 01 cypress falcoln 215,pd 193 it had 10 jumps on the container older main but hey I only spent 2500.00 for it all. We used the escrow service and that worked great. Hi and welcome Once again the choice is yours but I can still tell you about my training I started in s/l every thing was going fine but living up in the north the dz is only open 6 months a year. I did 8 s/l but failed on my 3rd PRCP and that means you have to start them over again(you need three in a row) well that was at the end of the season when I came back the next year. The dz stopped teaching s/l so I had to cross over to aff. They gave me a break on the price so all was not lost. I passed in 8 jumps and have been jumping since. All I can say to you is do what you want to do. Not what the forum says to do. I can't really tell you what to do first but I have almost 100 jumps now and I have not done a tandem yet. I started with s/l and switched to aff passed aff in 8 jumps and I can't wait to jump as soon as my feet hit the ground. let me tell you that it's great to read other people have had there share of bad landings I easily had problems with my first 25 oh don't get me wrong I had 4 to 5 good ones in there to keep me coming back never got hurt bad but have been to sore to walk the next day.. The one I remember the most is flare to early let off of toggles flare again feet hit hard and with a lot of forward next thing to hit is my helmet still have the scratch to prove it and the last thing to hit was knees on the second flip if I could do that every time I would be a legend -------------------------------------------------- If your not jumping your not living LEARN TO LIVE (L2L)
