It wasn't particularly hard. I've had a couple of hard openings with it in the past, which I chalked up to my noobish packing. It didn't feel like that, it just opened normally, lurched to the right and started spinning. When I reached up to see if I could do anything by taking the toggles, a line fell down from the canopy and hit my hand. At that point I decided I didn't want any part of whatever was going on up there and cut it away. I didn't even realize the canopy was damaged until they called me about a week later. I'll post if I find out anything about what happened. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Cutaways (How did you find them)

I just turned and watched it flop down about 200 feet south of me. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
Hmm. A couple weeks ago the left stabilizer on my new Safire2/229 exploded. I'm still a fairly new to packing but had felt good about that particular pack job. The rigger who looked it over here said he didn't see any evidence of a line-over. Canopy's got less than 100 jumps on it, and I'm loading it at 1.1:1. The rigger said he could fix it but he wanted to send it to Icarus anyway, so they could maybe determine what caused it. I'll jump it again whenever it comes back. I figure you got a couple hundred square feet of fabric deploying at 130+ mph, sometimes something's just going to explode. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Here's a good one. Mack has a guest do a line on his channel, and the guest puts some text on his video clip, so Mack calls the girl in the text and propositions her on the guest's behalf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr6Kf2zMbuk I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Couple people went out first, then us. They were lots of clouds in random places. I wouldn't of been able to predict we were going to go through the cloud. Thanks for the advice, I'm usually pretty good at dive exits but it was a bit hard for me with another person there. Oh don't get me wrong, I don't want to be critical of anyone, but maybe you want to take a look out the door yourself and see if you want to jump out there. Spotting's something that comes with time and it's not something I'm going to claim to be particularly good at either, but it seems like whenever I trust someone else's I always end up getting burned. It's good to at least know what you're getting into. I know what you mean about diving out after another person. I've done this myself a number of times, even fairly recently. There's a pretty strong instinct to try to face the person you're with and if they get out first, you want to go back that way. I went on a tracking jump with a dude last summer and went out the door with my ass to the wind. I realized my mistake almost exactly as I was doing it, and barely managed to keep myself from tumbling over like that. Doesn't seem like it's ever a big deal though -- you've amply demonstrated that you know how to get stable, so getting flipped over a couple times could just qualify as "fun". My favorite exit is still the one my AFF instructor had me do on level 7 -- throw myself out the door, grab my ankles and hold on for 5 seconds. That's as fun now as it was then. Who spotted you guys into those clouds? If you exit facing the front of the plane, you won't get flipped over like that. It's a lot harder to fly the relative wind with your back to it. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Heh heh your first exit looks a lot like my first solo exit. I think you'll find those exits get easier over time. Nice tracking! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

I'm pretty sure my slider is bigger than that thing. I still haven't found any video for it. Does someone have some handy? Wonder how long it'll be before he starts thinking it's not sporty enough and decides to downsize to a 27... I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. You'd just have to arrange to die in such a way that their insurance wouldn't pay out. Or in such a way that they seem complicit in their death. It'd probably be an easy conviction, since motive would be pretty obvious! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

X Girls Y Cups If they'd taught it that way I'd probably have paid more attention in algebra... I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Norwegian skydiver nearly struck by meteorite
FlyingRhenquest replied to Oyinko's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If you're feeling adventurous, Quickbird 2 is supposed to fall back to earth sometime in the next couple of years. You could try to find out where and when and try to do a skydive thereabouts. Getting hit by a 2 ton satellite would be much cooler than getting hit by some stupid little pebble! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
I know someone who's planning to grow her own. From what I've read, Tilapia really isn't all that good for you anyway. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Dying. You don't get to be called a hero until after you died in the line of duty! So when the Gopro guys say "Be a hero..." I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Big bottle of medical tequila, I told you And yeah, my head kind of hurts right now. But not as much as I expected it to. Cuppa coffee and I'll be back in business! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

About a week ago I came across this: http://thedailyshow.cc.com/videos/s4z9il/-mcconnelling Challenge! Spoiler alert: this guy wins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANgdEtV-7k4 I gladly concede my ten-thousand quatloos! Given a spiffy free video editor (kdenlive) and a big bottle of medical tequila, here are my half-assed entries: 3) Mitch McConnell feat Rozilla (Aquagen Feat. Rozilla "Everybody's Free (to feel good)") 2) Reptile (Skrillix "Reptile's Theme") 1) Crew Slut (Frank Zappa "Crew Slut", Joe's Garage Album) If there's some sort of award for this I already have a Acceptance Speech ready. Damn, I rock... I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

I'd like those odds -- they obviously couldn't have been a very good lawyer in the first place! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

http://www.gizmag.com/goodyear-blimp-unveil/31289/ I'd sell me own granny for a chance to do a skydive out of that thing I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Cool! Do the military guys handle their first jump differently than the civilians, or are they all about the same? I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
