Need help with Hero 2 video editing
FlyingRhenquest replied to diverdriver320's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I mostly just publish to youtube, and have used MS Movie Maker to edit clips for that. I'm not sure if you can author DVDs with it, but it's a free download from Microsoft if that'd suit your needs. Currently I'm using Kdenlive on a Linux system. It's a much more powerful editor with a decent number of tutorials on youtube, but requires a decent bit of computer know-hot to get started with. It's also free, though. Pretty much anything involving a video editor and DVD authoring is probably going to have a bit of a learning curve. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion that doesn't involve having to go down a rabbit hole. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
Don't mind Mike, he just had some sand in his vagina. It was probably caused by the opening force of his parachute. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

How Do You Climb The Brooklyn Bridge

Replace the flags and NOT fly the Jolly Roger? https://abcnews.go.com/US/mystery-deepens-white-flags-flying-brooklyn-bridge/story?id=24662426 I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
To get the full benefit of TRR, you should try it on a 650cc bike with 30mph crosswinds, gusting to 45mph. Hah! That would be a thing yep! I had to do it in a 4 cylinder beater Honda while the girls were here -- the Z only has 2 seats. They still thought it was plenty exciting, though. I told them "If you were driving on a similarly curvy road without the 2000 foot drop and no guard rails, you'd have no concerns about keeping the car on the road," but they didn't seem to be convinced. Kind of like how I refused to believe that the mock-up door and the airplane door were no different for the first 40-50 jumps... I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Wow, most co-workers I've ever had over there at one time is 1. Took my sister and niece for tandems once time though. It was kind of funny; my niece's tandem instructor asks who her emergency contact is, and she says "mom!" and points forward 2 seats. My sister says "My brother!" and points at me. And I say "I'd rather die in a fiery plane wreck than have to explain to mom how I lost her daughter and grand daughter in a freak skydiving accident!" How Long Should a Jumpsuit Last
FlyingRhenquest replied to FlyingRhenquest's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Heyo! Having just had an off-the-rack brand x jumpsuit fall apart on me, I was wondering how long one should expect to get out of an average jumpsuit. This one had probably 3 hours of tunnel time and about 100 jumps on it. When you think about it, it's really not adding an awful lot to my per-minute cost. If I ever decide to go with a more expensive custom-measured suit I'm wondering if I should expect more time from one of those. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Well if we're killing all the birds and bees anyway, can we have our DDT back? I'm tired of having to worry about bedbugs every time I stay in a hotel. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Screwing up my airspace. I'm guessing he's here to score some weed. I'm guessing Air Force One doesn't get searched when it's entering or leaving Colorado. Ten thousand quatloos for the first photo of him at one of the local recreational or medical dispensaries! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

If you pack your vibrator, you also have a better than average chance of having them demand that you turn it on as well. Of course it's the airline's policy never to assign ownership in the case of a vibrator. It's always "A vibrator" and never... "YOUR vibrator." It doesn't seem like that much. My general crotch-area seems to get the worst of it, with around my shoulders a close second. Back when I was jumping the student Nav 300 and falling at 170 mph, those were the places where I'd get the most bruises. I never dislocated my shoulder, but both of them were sore for a lot of my first year. I haven't had bruises from opening for about a year now. The extra padding on my own rig helped with that a lot. Slowing down 40 mph helped a lot, too. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

State Farm Life Insurance
FlyingRhenquest replied to abyzet's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That's what I said, too. Then I said "You're fired". I've had two accidents in three decades of driving, wasn't at fault in the first one (Other driver parked on the side of the road and opened her door into my car as I drove by) so they've lost a lot more than they were ever going to gain by being dicks about it. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
You should probably talk to your dropzone instructors about how far back you'd need to go with your AFF training. First and foremost they're looking out for your safety. The tunnel is a great tool for training. Several people told me I should hit it after my AFF level 2 jump because I was so unstable. I did 6 minutes then and noticed a big difference in my flying. I did another tunnel session before getting through AFF and another couple more during coaching. It really does wonders for your confidence and skill. It doesn't take a huge block of time to help, either. You can do 5 or 10 minutes whenever you can afford it and it'll make a difference. State Farm Life Insurance
FlyingRhenquest replied to abyzet's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I haven't done business with State Farm since they bumped my car insurance premium up to $1200 a month without notice after I hit a patch of ice in a turn and plowed my front wheel into a curb. For one lousy $2000 repair in the a couple decades of driving, they did this. That was about 10 years ago and I avoid the company like the plague. Insurance in general is a slimy business, but I feel like they're the slimiest of the lot (At least that I've met.) I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Mine was pretty snappy. Maybe they just don't like you guys I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

IIRC they usually make students wear them. The instructors seem to be of the opinion that it's not a great idea to skip wearing one. I've had enough light bumps on the plane that I'm convinced I should keep wearing it. It won't help you if you walk into a prop, and once you get out of the plane your helmet is wearing you for protection. Keeps your goggles and Go-Pro in place pretty well, though. 16 yo looking to get into skydiving
FlyingRhenquest replied to Nick117's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Whatever you want to do, man. It's an expensive hobby -- you'll probably pay at least as much for reasonable second-hand gear as you will for training, if you decide you want to continue with the sport after a few jumps. You probably can't make a living skydiving without a lot more (expensive) experience and training. You could probably do reasonably well as a packer if you want to just be at the DZ all day. Personally I'd be tempted to do a couple of jumps to see if it's worth pursuing. If you don't like the whole process, you could always just keep flying in the tunnel. Skydiving's more waiting than anything else, and that doesn't appeal to a couple of my friends who are having a lot of fun in the tunnel right now. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? -
I got a Benny helmet for about $60 and it's lasted 225 jumps so far. The lining's starting to get a bit ratty, but can be easily replaced. If you don't mind the wind, it's a lot cheaper than a full face one! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

Couple'a jumps, 10 minutes in the wind tunnel. Trying to arrange a hot air balloon jump in the next week or two. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

I think you should go for it. It's not really the size of the place as much as it is how much you interact with them. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
