Westboro Baptist Church Responds To Congress
Hermes70 replied to CSpenceFLY's topic in Speakers Corner
Incorrect. The Constitution just enumerates those freedoms and orders the federal government to protect them. But those freedoms themselves are inherent rights in natural law, which everyone deserves as human beings. Do your homework and look that one up. -
Someone with an assault rifle could have stopped him before he did that to 7 cars. If everyone drove tractors then other tractor drivers could have stopped this madman tractor driver when he started his rampage.

Obviously that was a high-capacity assault tractor. Those darned things are menace to society and should be registered. (Yeah, that's tongue in cheek)

I don't think he's judging the culture itself, but rather the economic success of the culture. Just look at the border between America and Mexico to get an idea of what a stark difference "culture" can make. The land is the same on both sides, the ordinary people have the same values on both sides, but the culture is different. But Mexico has a horrible problem with drugs, violence and corruption. And that means that America thrives, while many Mexicans wallow in poverty and violence. There's no question that America's system where the law is enforced is better for the economy.

How the heck did that happen?

Is it possible for you to appreciate a woman athelete just because she's damn good at what she does, without introducuing sexuality into it?

Oh my god, poor people are getting free food! What a terrible country this is! Oh the horror!

I have twins! Yolks, not kids. 1 egg, 2 yolks - 1 in a 1,000 odds.

This post is a great example of one of the ways in which politics has gotten so screwed up in this country, and why I think it's ridiculous that people put candidate bumper stickers on their car. It's virtually impossible to not be disgusted by every candidate. But even going beyond what any one candidate actually supports, the things people group together under one political epithet are so goofy, of course everyone thinks "the other side" are nuts. I know what you're saying, and it just happens to be liberals that have made both of these things happen. But sometimes it's fun to take two different things and put 'em together like this to illustrate how goofy something is. The idea that a woman deserves to control her own body to the point of aborting an unborn baby, but at the same time, she cannot be allowed to control her body to choose to drink a 16-oz soda. The wide disparity there between those two things demonstrates how goofy Bloomberg's big-soda ban is, from the perspective of being able to do what you want with your own body. You would expect the soda-ban to come from someone who wants to ban abortion, since saving life and health go together. But instead, we have this weird case of opposites co-existing.

Isn't it funny how liberals want women to be free to abort unborn babies, because women should have the right to control their own bodies. But those same liberals think that those same women should not be allowed to purchase and drink a 16-ounce coke because that's bad for her health?

You think? I have to disagree. I've noticed the hotter the girl (long legged, flat bellied, perky boobied and amazing assed) the more yummy her pussy is. So if we scrambled up all the photos and put them in two columns, faces on the left, and pussies on the right, you would be able to draw lines between them connecting up the correct face to the correct pussy? I don't think so. I think that given the way they were presented, you just emotionally liinked the beauty of the face as seen in your mind, with the subsequent pussy which belonged to that face, and reacted based upon that. In other words, it's a subjective thing that's all in your head.

You know how it's said that dog owners look like their dogs? I don't think that idea applies here...

Could this affect the Army Gold Knights?
Hermes70 replied to Hermes70's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Washington Times: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/17/nascar-drivers-racing-to-save-military-sponsors/ Fast cars, young — mainly — men and the U.S. military. For years, America’s armed forces counted on that combination to boost recruitment, spending tens of millions of dollars to sponsor NASCAR teams and defending it as an unparalleled way to get its brand name in front of the kinds of young men who provide the backbone of the country’s fighting forces. But with trillion-dollar deficits and defense cuts looming, NASCAR and other sports leagues are feverishly fighting this week to try to defend that spending in the face of a conservative-liberal coalition that says it’s time for the government to stop pumping taxpayers’ money into private sports teams — at least without more evidence that it pays off... The Gold Knights cost millions of dollars per year, and the justification for them is recruitment, so they would seem to fall into this same category of budget cuts. Just sayin. -
