    well, the last count I have, in about ten years of skydiving....... there are four kinds of swoopers. 1. Ones with broken legs. 2. Ones that will break legs. 3. Ones that are brain damaged or paralyzed 4. Ones that are dead. RIP Your S & T, is a skydiver. He has a USPA license. That means he has a license to kill himself.     I'f I can LEAVE her I'll bring her back to ya Pops... She LIKES you. As far as I can tell, all Alabama girls (term used loosely) are weird-assed druggies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And DAMN I miss them!     Yall ever figure that,,, (we being old skydivers reading in between the lines and all) That sometimes too much technical information passes through these portals? I see some pretty important and influential people just freely pass out technical things that I would rather the rookies I jump with do NOT know. i mean, seeing as, that most people quit about 500 jumps. I would rather them not knowing HOW to turn a good 470 above the drop zone, and HOW to avoid traffic that is flying a straight pattern. Can one of these experts, just say. This stuff they spout is not safe unless you are on a cessna 182 load. I'm the fat old guy flying a plain old fashioned pattern, where i might spruce it up with a 180. I don't want to piss yall off with my landing pattern, but if you come over the top of me one more time, You'll get no free beer at the bonfire. Its a good day to LIVE, why puck up a good thing.     That's unnacceptable to me. When they started being pricks and told everyone to "move along" we just left and went to a hotel and never came back for, what was supposed to me, the band/food/events night. Fuck it. I have been first hand witness to more fatalities than I can count on two hands and I haven't ever seen such a harsh response by the authorities in regards to the paying participants of an event. I was fucking pissed. Me not being able to stand around and have a coctail with some grieving friends at a boogie I had payed admittance to and one where I had friends who had payed to stay on the property was pure BS. I will also never bring my golf cart back to a southern boogie away from home again for the reasons you listed. ----------------- What Chuckie said, PLUS TEN.     dudeee,, move to the south,, you can pack my rig for free. I cant stop thinking about skydiving. i mean...all i think about all day and night....is jumping. i wear my rig around the house when im bored and constantly view this site to see what new stuff is for sale in the classified section. i also read the forums.     Its a crying shame. That people can not live longer, to continue good work. Its too bad that everyone has to retire sometime.     Tell me what this is , John. I checked out a link somebody sent me with regards to Skyride..it was for Skydive Henderson , Nevada. I just recently moved from Henderson , Nevada and am quite positive there is not and has never been a DZ there. Would we consider this aggressive marketing, fraud or an outright lie?     Now if Rob and Laura have enough money to buy all the equipment and plane from Ben and Cary and strike out on their own, AND refuse to accept those worthless skyride certificates, THEN we'll leave their DZ alone and they can re-apply for DZ membership with USPA, if USPA decides it's worth it. No billy, the correct answer is -- IF they do this, you and I will be the first people there to buy a ticket. Until then, they are dependent upon crooked marketing schemes and outright flim-flam operations to sustain their business.     Hey, at least I know when to say "No" to a demo with questionable conditions. How about you? I have said to Woodstock GA, My personal skills and abilities will never be that good. However, its gone off every year with not a problem for a very long time. Granted, I've seen skydivers with white faces, after they landed. and Next year it was time to recruit some new faces.
