Ok, so I don't post here often, but this one, i gotta reply to. You're right people. Oil flowing is a marvelous thing, it's great and it generates profits. But don't you believe FOR A MINUTE that Joe Average Iraqi citizen is going to benefit from it! How do I know this? Because my lovely wife was born and raised in Venezuela, a country who boasts the second largest oil reserves in the world (and no, it's not in the middle east!) I spent some time there, and studied the place..... The oil business is state-owned and represents 80% of the country's GNP. the other 20% is from gold, magnesium and bauxite imports. However, 80% of the population live in conditions that would make you squirm. Why? because 20% of the population runs the business and what should go the governement und be redistributed ends up in some manager's pocket. If you want to see what oil can do to a "democratic" country, go check it out. See how you feel looking at multi-million dollar homes next to tin shack where people steal electricity from power lines. Oh, and they have a democratically elected president in that coutry that is attempting to change all of that, and fired most of the managers of the PDVSA, the oil company. What happened? those guys went to Daddy Bush, and whined, and next thing you know, the country is paralysed in a general strike, run by the upper class (and openly suppiorted by the US), and a coup is set up against Chavez. Not accurately televised by the way since two of the three national TV stations and three of the four papers are owned by the same family, who opposes a leader who's trying to take their cake to share it with those who might need a little piece of it. So have fun in Iraq boys. Give 'em democraty, give 'em freedom and promise them wealth and happiness. Under Saddam, they were miserable and silent. now, they're gonna be miserable, occupied by a foreing country and have a voice... I let's see what CNN shithead Aaron Brown has to say about that.... Ok, I don't post here often, and I'm by no means an expert... But here's my opinion. I bought a Spectre 150 at about 75 jumps, which I load at 1.2:1, after having jumped a Sabre 170 from graduation from AFF. I was about to downsize, because it was apparently "the cool thing to do" in order to get chick to love me and show new commers to the sport how hot I was. Then it happened. I came in on a very sketchy landing at jump #150, I panicked and slammed in on my tail bone at whatever speed you go at that wing loading in full flight. I compressed my t-12 vertebrea, and I have repercussions to this day. HOWEVER...... I'm walking and skydiving again today. I've decided NOT to downsize right now and let the hot ladies think whatever they want. (my wife doesn't appreciate the comments anyways). MY POINT: a smaller canopy might look like alot of fun, but also requires skill and experience to fly. And if you ever get a bad landing, which is bound to happen in your next 100 jumps or so, you'll thank god you picked a larger canopy that allowed you to walk away from it somewhat unscathed. And i"ll tell you, when I wanna play, my 150 can still slam my sphincter shut! Cheers! _________________________________________ Did I just kill another thread?

Thanks to everyone that replied! That definitaly cheered me up and help me with a plan. I saw my neurologist yesterday who said to just take it easy for a bit, but didn';t think that this was going to stop me for good. Oh yeah, although the emerg doctors advised me that my license would be suspended, i have received no notice from the Ministry of Transport and I called their automated service and apparently I still have a valid license... and since the meds were calibrated, i feel pretty much 100 % Thanks to all... The first part of my plan is to lose the drama. I felt sorry for myself long enough and it's time to move on. Blues ones! _________________________________________ Did I just kill another thread?

Yeah man... I've heard about the stress thing... That could very well be it. I'm seeing a doctor after the holidays and i got two weeks med leave from work. LOL stress factors in my life: working daily with irate customers, waiting for a promotion, baby on the way, and a few more.... Hi all... I haven't posted in quite a while, cuz i've been real busy at work and such... My most recent incident is putting my skydiving careee at risk. I had a grand mal seixure while driving my car a few weeks back. thank god I wasn't going fast and was on a side road. THis this came out of nowhere, never had one before. However, it looks like this might mean the end of my skydiving career. My driver's license was suspended and I highly doubt that DZO's will let me on a plane... Man, whoever that was handled it relatively politely too!!! One bleeped out "muterfu@#$r" and that's it! I think I would have found thet guy and made him swallow my cutaway handle after i had "driven" into him the point of canopy avoidance maneuvres with my foot up his ass. But then again, I remember one guys words to me when I innocently asked him about landing patterns at the Ranch after showing up for the week-end (I'm canadian and polite rembember). Don't take my word for it, cuz I haven't been in the field for about a year and a half, but I think all the .com, .net, .org are managed by a comitee called interNIC in the US. They originaly licenced Network Solutions to issue these domain names, and might have expanded to different companies. I think the difference lies in the services offered by the companies (server space if you want it, etc.) I know that in Canada, I can register a .ca domain, as well as a .com, .net, & .org (pending american dollars) through a site called domains.ca.
