Yes I have. And I realized I did a lot of things I didn't like because of situations I allowed myself to get into. This all led to some major life changes that have worked out very well so far. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

I agree that we are a tight knit group. 90% of the time we will go out of our way to help a fellow skydiver. You can go anywhere in the world and find a group of people that you can connect with. I don't, however, consider everyone in the skydiving community a friend. I choose my friends in the sport the same as I choose them outside of the sport. There are qualities and values that I demand in any friend, skydiver or not. Friendship and trust need to be earned. I'm glad your situation in Bogota worked out so well. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

Too much crime and filth. The town decided to not renew any liquor licenses or lease agreements for most of the bars. I think Fado Irish Pub is one of the last ones there. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

The UFO jumpers last night we like nothing I have ever seen before. They looked like meteors flying through the sky. Scary shit to have sparks coming off your back when it comes time to pull. The fireworks show was great, too. Loud booms, bright colors. Ooooohs and Ahhhhhhhs. They even had an ice carver and juggler dude. Tonight we get the Team Dirty Sanchez foam party! What a happy place this is. Truly like Disneyland for skydivers.

Richmond was my first boogie, too (at 25 jumps). I had a great time. Huge landing area, professional and friendly staff, good parties, welcoming town. My money is currently being spent at Summerfest so I doubt I'll make Richmond. I hope you all have a super safe and fun boogie. It truly is one of the best boogies I have been to. I have a meeting in 10 minutes, then I am done for the day. I just watched the video from the 2nd attempt at the world record. Fucking awesome I' tell ya. They are going for 69 on the record.

This is the main reason I let it be known that I do NOT have an open door policy in my camper. More often than not you will find the door locked when Dave and I are not around. I don't mind sharing dinner if we make extra or pouring someone a glass of wine or whatever when they stop by. If it becomes a regular occurrence I'll stop making them feel welcome or flat out tell them to bring food or drink the next time they stop by. Usually there is no next time.
