Believe me it was painful. There I was sitting in my camper working. I saw jumpers swooping the pond on one side and several people swimming and/or drinking beer in the swim pond on the other side. Life isn't fair sometimes. I'm just glad that I have a job where I can work from anywhere. If not, I wouldn't have been able to be there at all.

I was there for a week during Summerfest. They do have wi-fi. It works great in the hanger and near the pond. There is a router in the shower house (next to the pond) so if you are near there, you'll have great reception. I did. I was able to work all week and never once had a weak connection. Reserve inspection & repack turnaround time?
micduran replied to angrypeppers's topic in Gear and Rigging
I give my rigger as much notice as I can. If I know I won't be jumping for a week or two or three, I'll let him know that, too. Enough people rush and want quick service. I'm glad to be flexible with time when I can be. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours. -
I just take their word it. Now, I'll wonder. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

Happy Birthday to my friend. I hope your day is spectacular!

Happy B-day to both of you, then.

I check it only to see if someone I know has been hurt or died. RARELY do I actually read the thread. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

I had tried to quit on several occasions and failed. I prepared myself to be emotionally strong enough to do this for me. I set this as a personal goal and as something that nobody could take away from. Having tried so many times I also knew that the chemical changes that would take place in my body would also change my emotional state. I had terrible mood swings, but prepared myself to know that they were caused by the toxins leaving my body. I really wanted to quit for a few years before I actually did. My mother dieing of emphysema was the last straw for me. I knew I had to do it as soon as possible. I was 30 years old at the time. I was already seeing the smoker's wrinkles on me. I, too, loved the act (habit) of smoking. Again, your smokes are like your best friend. You have to figure out your own motivation or you'll never be able to quit. The battle is 10% physical and 90% mental/emotional. Your smokes share everything with you; the highs and the lows, the smokes are always there. In some ways it is like giving up a best friend. I was mentally and emotionally ready to quit when I did. Believe me, I tried SEVERAL times before the last one. You can't wait for everything to settle down in your life. That time will never come. You do have to make it a priority and be ready to tackle it no matter what. Because I was so ready and I used the patch, the physical parts wasn't that difficult. Six months or so ago I was gathering my stuff to leave the house. I had a brief thought "where are my cigarettes". Yes, almost 12 years later!! I laughed it off, but it still surprised me. Good point, Gary, about getting out of a dropzone what we put into it. I think a lot of the old SDM folks have blended in well at SDA. For me, it might just be an age thing. I don't know. Laura and Lee, I have it from a reliable source (the man himself) that PsychoBob will not be jumping this weekend. He might, however, be making a visit to a campground in the north GA mountains on Saturday.

Next month will mark my 12 year smoke free anniversary. I can't imagine anything in the world that would make me start again.

Just don't have John go with you. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

You've got that right!!

Typically, the people make the dropzone, but management practices can have an impact on that. I would defintely go check out a dz that opened at Monroe. I felt very comfortable there the few months I jumped there prior to it closing. There was a great vibe there that I don't feel at the other 2 DZs in GA. I still don't feel like I have a "home" DZ. I recently discovered Xingu. It is actually a fairly light and refreshing beer with nutty flavor. Very good and different from anything else I've ever tried.

This weekend is Boobiefest. That is my camping weekend. I'll be sure to fondle myself regularly so I don't feel left out.

Oh Lee you are just jealous. Admit it!! Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

J - we still need to do our blind taste test of jello shots. It can't be this weekend (camping in the mountains) or next weekend. Let's definitely work on a date for this, though. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

I agree the drag and drop is way better. I kick myself frequently for switching to the iPod. My Rio forge was a lot easier. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

So you were the reason all the cops were out on the way to the dz. Shame on you for cropping your photos. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

I'd like to know if I can put my mp3 files on an external hard drive and still be able to sync. Is anyone doing this? Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
