The river temp was 65 degrees. It was overcast so we didn't have to fight the sun. The air temp could have been a little warmer, but we all survived. Next year we plan on doing the Upper and Middle parts of the river. This year was just the Middle. We'll send you an invite for next year.

ChaosKitty brought Samson (and Kaha) to the restaurant where I tend bar. We are dog friendly on the patio. What a cutie pie and so well behaved!! There is no reason to tell your employer you are looking for a new job. If you are doing your job well there is also no reason you cannot use them for a reference. Typically a place will ask if it ok for them to check with your current employer. If that happens, be honest and tell them no for the reasons you sited in this post. Good luck in your job search. And this is why we have never had an open door policy. We've also been known to have "just say no" weekends and we don't let anyone crash with us for any reason. It is our home away from home. Sometimes we just want peace and quiet. But to the OP - your thank you and the fact that you appreciated the place to crash goes a long way. If it turns out that you do crash there often, then a "gift" - money, beer, whatever would be appreciated. It costs more to haul and maintain a camper than most people realize.
