  1. Sorry, Remi, that's what I was trying to stop, all this stupid general talk about things that have no relevance. There is no discussion to even have yet, because I haven't heard any details or facts or anything. Can you PM me what you've heard? 2. This isn't accurate. In light to variable winds, the landing direction is south to north. And all regular and/or experienced jumpers at Perris land this way. This isn't the issue. It's just a secondary rule, so that people won't be landing in both directions. We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  3. Scott must be in slot because there's a new guy on video....forget his name.... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  4. I know....but can't say. But I have a feeling I'm going to get him... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  5. Oh, and look at the other thread about "fast" and "slow" suits, there's what I just said and more.... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  6. Just went through the AWESOME big way camp that kate, tony, and dan bc put on at Perris a couple weeks ago, so I'm just repeating what I heard over and over from them. DRESS FOR SUCCESS!! You have to know a little about how big ways fall (and each one is different, which is why most aren't always successful on the first jump with a bunch of people/new configuration you don't know). But it's almost guaranteed that the farther out you are on the formation the slower it's going to be going by the time you get there. Be ready for it to be falling slow. And the best way to do that is to have a suit that will let you fall COMFORTABLY (i.e. still in your normal arch) to make it in. Plan to fall in the middle of your range, and then you still can de-arch to slow up or arch more to speed up. I don't have multiple suits yet, but the big guys who have been in the sport for years do. And I'm sure others around you have one or two extra suits that they would let you borrow as needed. (I have found that my freefly pants and a long sleeve tshirt work great for me if I'm on the very outside with no one docking on me. Try different stuff out so when it's a really important dive you know what choices you have.) Anyways, have fun and just remember to DRESS FOR SUCCESS!!

  11. Okay, I don't know when you guys are driving to Perris, but I drive PAST Ontario on my way to Perris every weekend, and it takes me 45-50 minutes (and Ontario is the halfway point!)...... MAYBE it's an hour if you hit Friday afternoon traffic just right.... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  12. That's how I feel. I know I've heard they have crappy customer service, but I've never had to think about dealing with them, my Z1 has been so good. I think 2 or 3 times I've jumped out with my visor open and when I realised, "Hey, it's a little breezy...oh crap, my visor!" and reach up and it's there, just waiting for me. Not exactly like some full face helmet shields I know have been ripped off during a dive while it was already closed. Not to mention the fact that I can open my visor, easily, with one hand, to keep it from fogging up (and keep the rest of my face warm) on those cold January days..... Of course, this is just MY experience..... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  13. I've heard their customer is crappy, but what other "issues" have you found with Z1's? We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  14. I'm pretty happy with the 12,500 altitude I get for $15.39 a jump....

    Digitude

Very true on the batteries..... Mine started giving me junk in the cold (well, L.A. cold) mornings. I thought there was moisture in it or something...because it would work eventually when we got up a few thousand feet. Anyways, I put a new duracell in it and it was back to normal. We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  16. So is that TAS or SAS? And why do you use what you use, Paul? We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  17. actually, it was $.04 pre-tax, $.02 post.... I did do CRW recently, with Mustwrap and Brett ( though not this last weekend, because I was doing the demo course)...have done my only 13 jumps in the last month....and I think I have 14 total downplanes. 18. actually, that check was for $.02 saw it with my own eyes... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald

And you should come to the ground breaking party for the Perris tunnel in March....I'm hoping that they'll be giving out door prizes of tunnel time.
  20. By the way, everyone, it seemed to me (after my research before I mailed mine off) that Fedex Ground with insurance is cheaper than UPS or the postal service, and it's only taking 4 days to get from CA to FL. Of course, I had to drive to a Fedex Ground office, I don't know how high the prices go if you have it picked up or go through a private "Mailboxes Etc" type of place.... But it only cost me $25, and that was with $2600 worth of insurance. We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  21. Oh yeah....pimp daddy's don't have internal audible pockets, do they? I just can't hang with putting my $300 pro track on the outside of my helmet waiting to get thrown/pulled off some way.... What features does the "pimp daddy" helmet have, anyways? We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  22. Question: Were the "pimp daddy" boneheads only made with the first design/shape, or were there "penis-shaped" "pimp daddy" boneheads made also? I wonder, because I was looking into buying a bonehead from someone online and don't know how to tell which shape it is.... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  23. M4 is just the size....G is what version it is. Maybe it stands for "generation"?
  24. That would be Jim Wallace... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
  25. WFFC....though I haven't been there, yet. Haven't really even been to a summer boogie yet, though the "Jack, Off to Perris" boogie was awesome, as well as the Laughlin boogie.... We were never feeling bored because we were never being boring. -Zelda Fitzgerald
