1. naw, they're trying to score and don't want to have a girlfriend that skydives and they're too scared to. so they tandem to prove the point Brian
2. saw that one - it was recorded as a wave file and sent around with a document to help you understand what was being said. somebody put a lot of effort into that!
3. this hurts! Skydive Hinton, Oklahoma NO BEER! Public, Municipal Airport. My choice is Bud Light! Brian
4. We've been together 12 years, married 10. I started jumping August 2001, she started with a tandem in October but was solo by December 2001. Gotta keep her now! She's on maternity leave from jumping until February - but she helps me pack! Brian
5. had a car wreck spent the settlement on the rig! Brian
6. Didn't the pilot tell you to close it on your way out! the pilot "slips" the plane. (slides the plane side ways in the air) wind resistance on the door goes away and it drops to within reach of the pilot. a pilot can give you the details. i'm not one. Brian
7. 3 Static Line in Chickasha, Oklahoma http://www.pegasusairsports.com/ 5 IAD in Hinton, Oklahoma http://www.skydivehinton.com/ Preferred the IAD, less line twists! Brian
8. I'm with you there. Our DZ only runs 1 plane @ a time (C-205 or C-172) with Tandems and First Jump Course IAD students. I had 80 jumps on my 1 year anniversary of jumping. Went to the convention and got 15 in there, so that helped out. That's a good average for a small DZ, weekend only jumper. Brian
9. Probably like many others 22K Mike Mullin's Super King Air WFFC '02 Rantoul, IL (Probably not like others) It was about my 65th jump. I was the lowest timer in the organizer tent, I think! Brian
10. I use godaddy it's about $9.00 a year. http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/default.asp?e=com Brian
11. Better get that D license first. Then go for all the marbles. There are always ads in the skydiving mags for instructors and such - did you check those out? Brian
12. Saturday - heading to a family reunion about an 45 minutes from Skydive Dallas. Sunday - Hopefully throwing myself from the Super Otter (or the Caravan) at Skydive Dallas! I'm hoping that the hurricane doesn't screw up the weather in Whitewright! BTW - looking for someone to jump with while I'm there on Sunday. Belly-flier with >100 jumps needs jump buddy - mine usual jump buddy isn't going to be there. Brian
13. The white doesn't show up real well on the ribs. But, it makes it different enough to stand out. Brian
14. I'm with ya, bro! 2 more of mine! Brian
15. My bad! I searched but that didn't come up - I bet people that don't search enough really pisses you off! Begging a thousand pardons! Brian
16. waiting for the video to download. What was the number on the pucker factor? (scale of 1-10) the stills give me a 9! Brian BTW - what is the slider up opening? do you not use the slider up when base jumping?
17. Searched the forums - didn't find this one. PET PEEVES Here is one of my (many) pet peeves! When you are paying out with the waitress, at a [#400080]restaurant [/#0000ff]and she picks up your money and asks "Do you need change?" Well, hell yes I need change! Tonight we had a $100 dollar bill laying on the table with a tab for about $55.00. The service was good - but not $45.00 good! It's almost like pandering when they ask that. Even if it were a $20 dollar against a $17 tab, I want the change brought back to me - it's my decision as to how much to leave as a tip. I usually strive for 20% - unless I hear those 4 words... "DO YOU NEED CHANGE?" Does this bother anyone else? What are your pet peeves? Brian
18. my 2 cents Static Line: 3,500', line twists, canopy control. AFF: 13,500', FREEFALL, bodyposition, did I mention FREEFALL? Brian BTW: I started with static line, then switched to IAD (almost the same) - didn't start getting freefall time until 5 second delays on 9th jump. If you can afford it do AFF or AFP Anyone agree? Brian
19. "The sex ain't that good - but I cook a mean omelet in the morning" Brian
20. This is my Hornet 210 (i'm an anvil) - i've had it since July. Had about 8 jumps on it when I went to Rantoul. I had to wait 5 weeks for it to come in. It looks good with the white ribs in there. The stripes are asymmetrical - my friends give me hell about being too anal retentive and having to have everything symmetrical. I showed them. Brian
21. In Reply To Ok There is nothing wrong with the Clipper I'm riding today. However I now have ordered this little baby. Just have to have pation now until it arrives. Just to bad it's going to be winter before I get my hands on it... It's good to have something to look forward to. What do you wait for? What do you look forward to? Tell and lets wait together! What size is it going to be? cool colors. i'll attach mine Brian
