A 101. I'm 33 and had some help from my BASE bud who's 26. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Bump, bump, bump, That's the sound of my 15's as they're hittin' in my trunk I said, bump, bump, bump, Sorry, I had a few drinks tonight and got carried away... Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

I'm not much of a wine drinker but when I do partake, it's always a Rioja. Marques de Caceres and Marques de Riscal are two labels that come to mind. Everytime that I've brought a bottle or two to a social event, everyone asks about it and where to buy. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Come to the tropics and experience the Puerto Rico Freefall Festival, Feb 11 - 15. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the coastline as you jump from the Super Skyvan and Super Otter. Freefly and RW organizing and coaching will be available. Eco tours will also be available to sites such as El Yunque Rainforest, Window Cave, Tanamá River and the world's largest radio telescope, the Arecibo Observatory. More info to follow. I jump and work at Xtreme Divers in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Check out our website at http://www.xtremedivers.com The site is still under construction in some parts. We also have a great boogie coming up Feb 11-15. We bring down the Super Skyvan and Otter from CrossKeys and Monkey Claw also comes down. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

A girl (or 2) is the only thing I need to make life really great! And how did you know that I like them with a lil' bitchiness (attitude)to them? Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

btw, who da phuk are you? I started skydiving about 5 years ago in FL and then 2 years later started B.A.S.E. jumping. I mostly just lurk around on the forums, in a year I think I've only posted around 40 times. The only boogies I've done so far are the Keys' twice and one in PR. Earlier this year my friend offered me a job working for him at the DZ down here in PR. After 9 years as a warehouse supervisor I jumped at the chance. Life has sure been getting better since!!! Cutting away has to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

I tried out for a small part in a movie yesterday (2 speaking lines, then a fight, then I get shot in the head) and they told me I got the part. As of right now the movie is titled 'Back In The Day' and Ja Rule, Ving Rhames, Lawrence Fishburne, Vanessa Williams and Stepen Baldwin are going to be in it. A casting agent saw me walking out of a friends apt and asked her who I was and the rest is history. I promise I won't forget all the little people. Hahaha! YOU KNOW YOU GREW UP IN THE 80's or early 90's IF-

Anybody remember 'Valley Girl'? I think it was by Moon Zappa. They played it all the time in San Diego in the early to mid 80's. Like, oh my God, gag me with a spoon, Like, ok, fine Fer sure, fer sure, she's a valley girl Or somethin' like that. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes. -

The DZ is in the SE of Puerto Rico but the pics are from the NW area. We have a killer boogie in Feb where we bring down all the a/c from Cross Keys and Monkey Claw. Anyone who stays after the boogie, we take on little tours. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

I posted a pic in post # 364 but who am I kidding? I'm no hottie! Hahaha! Attached below our a few pics from our DZ staff outing when we went swimming through some caves this past Mon Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Like stated above, check out Clewiston. I used to jump there all the time before I moved down here to PR to work at the dz. Very nice people and a pretty laid back dz in Clewiston. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

I did my first jump after 174 skydives. My friend who had did most of my AFF also became my BASE mentor. He showed up at the dz one day after working the summer up north. After the sunset load he asked me if I thought I was ready. Without hesitation I answered "hell yeah!". We had done a few CRW jumps before, but in hindsight, I wish I had done more. 200 skydives seems to be a good point to start but I definitely think it is jumper by jumper decision. What the heck kinda exit is that?????

Did a 4 way tube out of a Caravan CargoMaster. That's been the only one so far, but it was fun. Especially since it was with 3 girls and myself. Then we got a few sit docks in afterwards. Maybe during this year's PR FreeFallFest we'll plan a bigger one out of the Skyvan. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes. -
This thread reminded me of a book I read a few years back, "Darwin's Radio" by Greg Bear. It's all about ancient diseases encoded in human DNA that have been dormant, coming back to life OR the next step in evolution. Don't want to ruin the story for those of you yet to read it. While reading this book, I got the same chills as when I read "Outbreak". Now we have SARS out there spreading around the globe, so who knows, maybe in a decade or two, the human race will take another evolutionary step. Growing up in San Diego my lil bros and I would go exploring in the hills and canyons when not surfing. We'd find a decent clearing and then watch Red Tail hawks swoop for field mice. Birds of prey are amazing. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

That's it, gotta kick outta that show as a teenager! Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Only thing I didn't like about X was that weight challenged bald VJ. It's on the tip of my tongue, but what was the name of the show about the 4 Brit roomates that was on MTV back in the day? If I remember correctly it was MTV, right? Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Had MTV X for a while on digi cable but then they replaced it with Jams. Now I'll never watch the channel again unless they go back like it used to be, mostly rock and barely any ads. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

A lot of my co-workers golf. One day they were asking about my hobbies and why I tend to like the more dangerous ones. I remembered a quote I had just read in one of the mags about another jumper in the same situation. When I used it, the silence and look on their faces was priceless. "When you were a kid, did you ever dream you were flying?" A few "yeahs" "Did you ever dream you were playing golf?" "Uh, no." In this day and age this might not work with the younger golfers brought into golf by Tigermania. With a father that spent 26 years in the Air Force and a mother that flew Cesna's recreationally, I must have had a dream about flying my body every other night. I wonder why it took me until 28 to do my first jump, AFF 1. Problems just be opportunities in der workin' clothes.

Was on an A one day checking the winds for a BASE jump. As we watch the napkin cross the wires we catch movement out of the corner of our eyes. We're 1000' up and 20' in front of us is this vulture kinda stalled in flight. After a few secs of hovering there, he lands no more the 30' below us on the A. I look at my buddy and say "See, the bird knows the winds suck for jumping. He's just waiting to see if we know or if we're gonna become his lunch." I'm usually get in a bad mood when I drive to go surf and there's no waves but never in BASE. I always seem to experience something that still makes it enjoyable. I met Adrian last year in Puerto Rico. The last day of the boogie I did my first wingsuit on a Birdman GTI. Thanks for bringin me to the flock Jari. Such a beautiful place for a wingsuit jump. The view of being the last one out at 14 grand and being about a mile out over the ocean was incredible. Later that night I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours talking with Adrian. Since my BASE mentor (GG) was also present, I was a total sponge absorbing all the info I could. Adrian's suits are made by his girlfriend, Katarina, who spent a good while letting us pick her brain on wing design. I can't say enough about the 4 people mentioned above. Many thanks for all the info and experience that you all shared with me. And for all the newbies that say it's so dificult to find info out there. Not one of the persons above ever charged me a dime for instruction or talking. You just gotta get out there, be cool and at the end of the day offer up some chilled Heinekens and its that easy. I'm no expert or aeronatical engineer but the difference between Jari's and Adrian's suits are basically theory and design. I'm curious if some you out there have ever jumped another winsuit or have flown with Adrian? I don't know if the offer still stands, but Adrian offered us suits at a comparable price to Birdman but since they only make suits custom tailored to each body, they're not available to demo.
