Piantanida died following his third attempt. His suit suffered an explosive loss of pressure @~54K'. No one knows how his suit failed. It took 25 minutes to get him back on the ground despite immediately cutting him away from the balloon. Unconscious when they pulled him from the gondola. He never came out of a coma, & died months later. He wrote a letter to his three year old daughter while suited up (to be opened on her 18th birthday in 1981), just before launching. He reached 123K' on his second attempt. He couldn't jump because his O2 connector jammed onto his suit. He couldn't free it wearing the pressure gloves.

Hello & Welcome to you. I'm sorry to read about your colostomy. I just took a quick look. It's pricey jumping in Oz, huh? Are you licensed at 33 jumps? How much is a jump ticket there? Their site only shows tandem pricing. You're gonna love the sport.

I see your point, but... Correct me if I'm wrong. I've never played w/front-riser dives or anything like that. I've no interest in swooping. Does not the canopy slow right back down very quickly from such a maneuver? People playing w/90° front riser approaches at 1:1 slow right back down again, no?

I don't have a problem w/the weight limits. I do have one w/the high performance landing requirement. Why should a Noob be forced to do a double front riser approach? He or she may have no desire to ever do such landings.

As a matter of fact, I am. You crazy Bastid. Film a jump at those temps wearing nothing but a smile (w/appropriate portions blurred out). I bet it would go viral on Youtube. That would be an effective way to spread your gospel. Tape a large temp gauge to the strut for proof.
