  1. Thanks, I got that. The class lines are strongly drawn around here. I doubt I'd get the Porsche service level if I crossed the tracks. Especially when driving a Toyota... We'll see how it goes. Thanks again, everyone.
  2. Thanks Jerry, but I don't live anywhere near Oregon. There are a LOT of shady autobody shops around me. I used a good one about eleven years ago, but can't remember where it is . I've made my decision. I'm going w/the more expensive repair. Sorry, Aggie. I'm gonna pass on the three foot spoiler & sub woofers in the trunk. If I pimp my ride? I might start getting hassled by Da Man... You know how they get.
  3. Thank You, Lisa. Cars can be such a hassle. I really don't even care about them. I turn the key & go.
  4. Well, the car is only 2.5 years old. I just want it to look like it did before he hit me. I'm not paying for it. The guy who hit me is going to. I just don't like being lied to. I've very limited experience with autobody repairs. I wanted to know if he was telling me a story. Thanks.
  5. OK, thanks Dave. Black bumpers & three foot spoilers? Isn't that what they do to those old VW Bugs ???
  6. Hello All, I need some professional advice, please. I got rear-ended at a stop light. Minimal damage done to my car. The rear bumper will need to be replaced, though. I've been to two autobody shops for quotes. Both shops are making a lot of remarks about the bumper not matching the rest of the car (it's gold). One said it won't match after he paints it, either (@$849). The second shop tells me he has to fade the color into the rear quartet panels to blend it in (@$1280). Otherwise, I won't be happy w/the repair. I don't know about this stuff. Which shop should I go with, please? Thank You. Jack
  7. Evidently so, Lisa. They're in the PI, & definitely speaking Tagalog.
  8. I don't think the Hippocratic Oath includes enabling drunks to crawl farther down the road of addiction...
  9. Holy Crap. They're all high-fiving him in Tagalog... Agreed, Fang doesn't realize how close he came.
  10. What are you doing here? You're supposed to be penning your graduation edition of Tail O'the Rat.
  11. Where's the "Buy some insulated clothes, & keep jumping all winter/Boobies!" option?
  12. Australia has the ten most lethal, venomous creatures in & around it. I don't think that spider is one of them, though. We wouldn't be watching the vid...
  13. Totally awesome !! If they were sealed in those crates? They could still be in excellent condition. Talk about finding that old sleeper in a barn... Thanks for posting this. I look forward to seeing what they find.

  15. Well then, YOU ask her out. I couldn't help but admire that one shot in the bikini. Is it possible that starting the hormones so young actually affected the skeletal development. Those certainly look like girl hips.

    Ducati

Ducati is about the only brand I haven't owned. I came close, once. Then, I learned about all the cracked frames they suffer from at 9-10K miles. That's completely unacceptable. One can learn how to do the Desmo valves. That's not a problem. Cracked frames are a whole other matter. Too bad, really. Some of them are bad Ass.
  17. Seven Hills is a C-182 DZ (= Blyuck!!). If you're gonna travel that far. Go to one of the premier DZs. You'll have an absolute BLAST ! What's a Cheesehead doing in Japan, Cat?
  18. God Damn ?! AFF = $2733 for a first jump course + 7-8 jumps? Student solos = $116 Lift tix = $79 That's VERY pricey. What about this place: http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/Detailed/171.shtml For your reference. My full A license cost me about $2400 for everything (OK, except for medical expenses ...). Here, in the US. Student solos are $50-$60. Lift tix are $20-$26. Most turbine DZs take you to 13,500 feet. I understand that life in Japan is extremely expensive. I do hope you continue in the sport. I also hope you find a cheaper place to jump. At those prices. A week-long jump-cation to Australia will seem like a bargain: http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/Detailed/238.shtml
  19. "If so, the car will just keep going and going and going." Dunno about that. My last two cars were Subis. The first was a Forester, made in Japan. That was probably the best made car I've ever owned. My only gripe was I wanted more pep. So, I traded it for an Impreza outback wagon. That one was made in the new plant in Lafayette, Indiana. It wasn't made nearly as well... I hated that car, & was happy to trade it in. It wasn't nearly as tight, & got awful mileage. Hard to believe it was the same company. I've since met a couple other people w/new Subis & problems. Either way, 118K is a lot of mileage. Buy it from a stranger, & for that ridiculous price? Absolutely not. Pass on both of them.
  20. "I'm getting back in the air soon, kind of curious as to how it will affect the upcoming hunting season in September." Why would you think you can't do both? Hunting seasons only last a few months. I stopped bow hunting years ago. Mainly, because I just don't have the time to do it right. That time is confined to only a couple of months, though. There's no reason why you can't do both.
  21. "I knew you were bullshitting us," Ya never know. I could have horrible taste in women.
  22. I for one, am filled w/respect & arousal for a woman who has the stuff to stand up for what she believes in. It's sexy !! I know this is you, Kimberly. I think you're hot . Most little girls don't have the stones to take a stand. Most lil boys here are threatened by your no-nonsense style. You ROCK, beautiful
