Well, that what he is saying today. Just wait a few days, and he will be singing whatever tune he thinks will be politically expedient for that day.

Michael Popak elaborates on the legal process for the plaintiffs to collect on the judgement against Rudy. Jump to 3:00 -
They could put it on Pay-Per-View. The ratings would be YUGE!

Just like Rudy Giuliani's trial for defamation, where he repeatedly kept holding presser's outside the courthouse, announcing he was going to prove his accusations against the plaintiff's were true...then never testified, and the trial has now gone to the jury.

Please share your insight with Rep Reschenthaler, so he doesn't look so stupid next time Rep Neguse asks him some simple questions. (See Post #2)

Stephen Colbert gave them a thorough skewering last night, complete with Rep Neguse (D) asking point-blank questions that Rep Reschenthaler (R) could only tap-dance around.

Texas Supreme Court Temporarily Halts Court-Approved Abortion
ryoder replied to David Wang's topic in Speakers Corner
I just learned about another TX legal case from Trae Crowder. A prison guard says she was forced to stay at her post during labor pains. Texas is fighting compensation for her stillbirth. The seven-months-pregnant officer reported contraction-like pains at work, but said she wasn’t allowed to leave for hours. The anti-abortion state is fighting her lawsuit, in part by saying her fetus didn’t clearly have rights. Hypocrisy at it's finest. -

Texas Supreme Court Temporarily Halts Court-Approved Abortion
ryoder replied to David Wang's topic in Speakers Corner
An attorney elaborates on TX law; See section "Who can be criminally prosecuted under the Texas abortion law?" What is the Texas Abortion Law? (2023) In summary: Anyone helping transport her, or helping her pay for it. -
First, a confession: I have not been following this thread because I got over debating the 2nd Amendment on Usenet way back in college. Second, a couple years ago I watched many hours of online lectures about the Constitution by Yale Law Professor Akhil Reed Amar. In one of them, he made some fascinating statements about what "well-regulated militia" really meant, which contradicted the claims of both pro-gun and anti-gun sides in the US. I followed up by reading a couple of his books on the Constitution, but did not find that discussion in them. A week ago, film-maker/journalist Johnny Harris (formerly with Vox), released a video on the topic on "Nebula", (a subscription service). It focused on Switzerland, and drew contrasts on the role of firearms there and in the US. His discussion of the 2nd Amendment dovetails with Professor Amar's explanation. Today, he put it on Youtube:

Remember Bobo's "first date" groping session with a Democrat? Well, it looks like she used campaign funds to watch him in the Leadville 100 bike race, just 10 miles outside of her district. Lauren Boebert used campaign funds to buy tickets to cheer boyfriend Quinn Gallagher on to 774th place in grueling Colorado bike race - weeks before the couple were kicked out of Beetlejuice performance

Long interview with Hunter Biden published on Youtube today. I don't expect anyone to spend 1.3 hours listening to it, but what amused me is who the interviewer is. He is a well-known celebrity in the entertainment industry. Take a wild guess who it is. Hunter Biden (Part 1)
-
And the obvious question is why anyone thinks we need any threads at all about Hunter Biden. He has never held public office, never been elected, never been appointed. He is not a show biz celebrity. He is not a powerful business leader. To be blunt, he is a nobody. There is no reason to pay any attention to him at all...unless you are desperately trying to undermine a politician who happens to be related to him.

Back in 1969, the government funded a project to develop "packet switching" theory into something called "ARPANET". You never hear about it anymore, so it must not have been successful.
