Whatever! I guess I should just take care of that jump on the books?!?! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

Who's going to bed "Pissed Up"? Don't read the rest, until we've heard the test! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

I'm a guy that should be flying for a living, but am stuck in a family business, my friends are, for the most part, just there, and the ones I care for the best are busy with skydiving or flying, like I should be. Looks like I need some help! MONEY!!!! SEND MONEY!!!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

I'm on the edge! I'm between the weight limits back and forth! Okay, If I do it lagit, I'm okay, but if I eat for a week, i'm over! (Actually, if I add my new winter wear i"m over) So I guess I can't answer today! Trust your limits!!!! Over the limit, in my opinion, depends on the mental comprehension of the jumper and the canopy. I already F@*#ked up and don't want to hear about anyone else doing the same. I know, it probably already happened. Listen to your elders!!!!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

I think direct comments might be in order. The next time you talk to someone that you know is a regular, tell them EXACTLY what you have posted here. If that doesn't work, use the other posts, and go to Z Hills, or the like DZ. I have never met a skydiver that when confronted on the "Hey, I'm trying to fit in here!" way of attention, ignores that person. It will also show them that you are not there to waste their time, but to become a real skydiver! Good luck!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

I just wanted to unload something that’s bugging me.
Patman replied to labrys's topic in Safety and Training
First of all, nobody has any idea of what was the problem that made him not pull. A pillow can be found and pulled or it wouldn't be an option. Everyone has their own opinions on the type to use based on their own feelings. I don't think you should take this to heart, like Hooknswoop said, it's just venting and you just so happened to be there. Only you can tell what you want and feel good with. "D" or soft, it's up to the jumper. This guys buddy made his decision, and nobody told him it was wrong. Who knows, it may save you in some situations. Live life, don't try to dissect -
How oftern do you practice your Reserve drills?
Patman replied to bluegremlin's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Practice them every time I have a rig on. I folded my reserve handle under once, and noticed it when I did a practice ERP. Thank goodness I did so, and/or I didn't need it just then!!! Practice makes automatic!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays? -
Can't tell you her name, but... uhhh... wellll.... I guess I really shouldn't, but lets just say IT WAS REALLY DUMB! REALLY!! (You shouldn't make out with a cop in a bar the day she breaks up with her boyfriend!) Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

Hey Jim! Where ya been? I wonder if Mother Nature is fair to claim as a DZ.com pet peve? She is often the reason for many threads, and the main reason I have two jumps in the last two weeks! Nice to hear from you! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

How about those repost police? Actually it's when AggieDave can't sleep and posts "pet peeve" posts. Mornin' from the freezin' Wisconsin northwoods Dave! That is if it's morning when you get up! Patman Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

Took one, but I have to admit, I don't care to much for the colors. How about mixing another green in there? Your container is a darker green, how about using that? I really don't have a clue, I have only had the pleasure of buying someone else's choices. Let me know what you decide! Patman Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

I'm having a mid-life crisis right now! I'm 34 and the weather sucks! I haven't jumped since Saturday and am having major problems! What did I ever do to piss Mother Nature off!!?? Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

Hey, see if you can find some talented person to carve "parachutist" in one. That would probably make it! Oh yeah? What's that? What do you mean everyone's too hungover? Send some of that Shinner up here! I'll carve that thing!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

season running out...need my A-License!
Patman replied to charleslittle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Coming from Wisconsin, I don't get what's up with all this "cold" talk. We jump all year here. As long as we can get out above fifteen below or so, and the ground temp is above, well, the same, we jump! It's that or go skiing! Good luck on that "A"!!! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays? -
When I started a few years back I had the same problem. It was the gear that was causing it. Like skybytch has already pointed out, one size hurts all. Stick inthere, when you transition you will have that much more to look forward to! Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?

Remind me not to fly with you. I agree pilots get into a routine, but to make it sound as if it's dangerous to land with the plane is just plain stupidity. Remind me if skydiving is dangerous. It is still as safe as the ability of the pilot, whether that's you or me. If you feel jump pilots get into a habit that affects the way they handle landing with a load, maybe those pilots should go back to school and start over. I'm not going to keep up an argumentative post by replying anymore, but to those of you who are worried about landing with the plane, it's not magic. You take a chance on skydiving, and the pilot you're with has at least a good three hundred landings in many different planes. Ask your pilot to take you for a fun ride sometime and see that planes are not dangerous to land in. They are actually a great way to travel. As we all know, they give us the ability to do what we do, and to have a pilot feed the fears of those who don't fly is way off base. Educate those who don't know. Don't tell me I can't! I already know that! Haven't you seen my x-rays?
