Well, maybe it affects everyone one of two ways. Either they did it once and they're done with it or they're absolutely obsessed. It's funny, though, that there seems to be no middle ground ... no "yeah, I jump once in a while...no big deal" attitude. Of course, maybe we only get that sense because we spend our days logged on to dz.com, where everyone is by definition obsessed. I mean, come on, if we weren't obsessed with skydiving would we spend precious moments of our lives responding to polls about whether we like butt sex? I did my FJC and level I at a different dz that I did the rest of my progression at and I didn't have a problem. I ended up going through basically a whole 'nother FJC at the new dz, but they didn't charge me for it. I was happy to have it, actually, as my training at the first dz was... how to put this...harried? Your mileage, of course, will vary depending on what drop zone you are coming from and what drop zone you are visiting. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Or perhaps a link to the FAQ at the top of the post page, much like those at the top of the post pages for Incidents and BASE zone. Or a request that one does a search before they ask (I've been guilty of this). Of course, issues that require deleting cookies aren't in the FAQ as of now, but adding them wouldn't be too difficult to do. It could even be delegated to one of us pw flunkies. The thing is, he's the S&TA at the dz. He's incredibly safe, incredibly meticulous, and I know I'm in good hands. He's also incredibly moody, irritable, and, well, military. Won't be an issue for much longer. Once I get my A (and of course, it is he who will be administering the oral quiz and probably the check dive), I won't need to interact much with him anymore (especially since I'm moving).
