  1. Dan, I took your poll the night you put up the link. I am not a skydiver. I have a fear of airplanes, and I damn sure have a fear of jumping out of one. Not gonna happen. I answered that I thought the skyjacker survived. But I sure wouldn't bet the farm on that. I go back and forth on whether or not he survived. Both opinions to me are based on one fact. The fact that no body was ever found makes me think he may have survived. The fact that the money never turns up makes me think he did not survive. I could take that poll 10 times and answer that question each way 5 times. That's how split I am. But, the bottom line is that it's just a guess - for me anyway. I found the last name question interesting. I don't think the skyjacker used his real name. But I may have a bias here. After all of the reading and speculation I have done about DBC, I have this "master criminal" profile of him in my head. This "master criminal" would never use his real name. But at the end of the day, what if he wasn't the brilliant master criminal that so many of us think he was. What if he was just dumbass enough to use his real name? Think about that. If it turns out to be Uncle Lynn, wouldn't that just be so opposite of the way we have thought about Dan Cooper over the years? 2. My 5 year old son's favorite name for me. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  3. I did not know that. Thank you Vicki. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  4. 377 Jamie Cooper is correct. It had been a couple of weeks since I had looked at the facebook page. It was actually the DB Cooper fan club facebook page that I should have referred to. For that, I apologize to Jamie Cooper. He sent me a message as was none to happy about my post. But, I won't apologize for the post. I see no real similarities between the sketches and the photos posted. Nor do I see any similarities in the handwriting. I am not a keyboard bully, and my post wasn't meant to be critical of anyone. I was merely asking if he was ever looked at as a suspect by anyone other than Jamie Cooper. That's all. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  5. Did they actually say that LD had been dismissed? On another note, was Jamie Cooper's dad ever a serious suspect? I looked at the photo comparison and handwriting comparison on his facebook page and quite honestly it looked to me like one of the worst cases ever of someone trying to point to a suspect. The photo looked nothing like the sketch and the handwriting looked nothing like the Dan Cooper handwriting. Just wondering if anyone ever took this guy serious. I don't know much about him and for all I know, he may have had some good reasons to claim his dad was DBC. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  6. Well, she obviously thought she knew the identity of who made that post. Someone obviously knows her. I don't know Marla, but I am interested in seeing where this case goes in regards to LD. I am only suggesting that if the FBI has been investigating LD for the past year, then they have to have more stuff than has been made public. Now, what they have may implicate LD, it may rule him out. I'd just like to know what they have. The thing I like about DZ, is that this isn't just a forum for observers like myself, but it's also a place for those who are part of the story. Jerry, you obviously didn't have anything to do with Norjack, but you are part of the DB Cooper story. The same can be said about Jo. And the same can be said of Marla. For that reason, I thought it was cool that she was here. I don't blame her for leaving though. I thought she was treated poorly by a couple of people here. Too bad. 7. Even though she could have, and justifiably so. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  8. Bruce - to me the most important question is: What does the FBI know about LD that we do not know? On the surface, is LD a better suspect than any of the others that have been thrown out over the years? I don't think so. So, does the FBI have some sort of smoking gun, some bombshell, that they have not revealed? Something about LD obviously interests them. 9. This was low class. If I were going to drop this kind of info about someone, I would not do it on a message board hiding behind a made up name. I would either have the balls to say it publicly or I would not say it at all. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  10. You would think that once the FBI learned of the comic that they would have checked possible subscriptions in the U.S. There couldn't have been many, if any at all. 11. I'm sure this has probably been mentioned, but Dewey working at Boeing makes sense. DB Cooper knew a lot about the 727, but didn't know how to work the stairs. It's been asked plenty of times before, "How could he know so much about the 727, but not know how to work the stairs?". This, at least, explains that part of it - if LD is in fact Cooper. I'm not ready to say that he is, but I'm certainly not ready to say he isn't either. I'm not always the greatest judge of character, but Marla seems genuine to me. Bruce - great job as always. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  12. So Robert, has your opinion of Marla and her story changed since she agreed to answer your questions? I wonder if her opinion of you has changed, lol? As far as her book goes, if the FBI say publicly that LD is DBC, then I could see the book doing well. Otherwise, it's just another DB Cooper book. Good job on the article. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  13. Damn Bruce, what do you do in your spare time? Nice work. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  14. It is a nice picture. I sent her a friend request last week. She accepted within 20 minutes. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  15. I used to work with dynamite a little, and all of the dynamite that I handled was pink. But, that was in the early 90's. Wonder why the color change, or if different colors indicate a different type of dynamite or even a different manufacturer? I don't now about 1971, but today dynamite sells are recorded. If someone detonates a piece of dynamite, there are actually small particles left behind that could be used to trace back who purchased it. 16. Jerry, I'm sure Dan is a very intelligent person and perhaps his research is very good as you say. As someone who is very interested in this case, but is nothing but an observer, I have great respect for all of you who put loads of time into doing this. That includes Dan, Jo, Blevins, 377, Bruce and yourself. So, I'm not going to come on here and be critical of any of the above. That being said, all Dan has to say is, "It isn't McCoy". Until then that's who I think is his suspect. He did say in his video that he will tell us who did it. If it isn't McCoy, I'll be very interested in where he is going with the simulated gun. As for my personal opinion of McCoy. I've always found him to be one of the more interesting suspects, but I do not think that McCoy was Cooper - for a couple of obvious reasons. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  17. I think you mean Cooper was just trying to be Rich? thats why he asked for cash? Whoever he was, he made a great ride for us all, and Jerry is probably one of the brightest people I know! Lots of possibilities I know, and who am I to say what is and is not so? All I intend to do is to tell the story that hasnt been told yet, and let ya'll will come to the same conclusion, and then you can tell me what was and what was not so. I'l be at the third stool from the end - darker is better. See you there! No denial of McCoy as your suspect? I will take that as confirmation that I am right. But, that's cool. I have no suspect that I favor as Cooper, so I'm open minded to whatever you have to say - regardless of who you point the finger at. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  18. I have watched Dan's video countless times, and the one thing that jumps out to me is the "simulated gun". We know McCoy used a fake or "simulated" gun to escape prison. If I'm not mistaken, didn't McCoy use a gun in the hijacking he was convicted of? I don't recall any gun in any of the DB Cooper stuff I've read. Maybe I am completely on the wrong track. But, this is the second time that I've pointed out that I think Dan is pointing toward McCoy. He has yet to say that it wasn't him, but he's real quick to say it isn't Weber or LD. Either way, I look forward to seeing what Dan has. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  19. Dan's suspect is McCoy. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  20. How possible is it that it happened as Bobby Dayton said, and that he jumped from the top of the stairs and that the bump was from when he came back up the stairs after being at the bottom looking for landmarks? Forgive me if I have this wrong, but isn't that the way Dayton said he did it. (Not pointing to Dayton as DBC here) "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  21. 377 or Jerry: I'm not a skydiver nor will I ever be. Haven't got the balls and don't care to admit it. So, I'm asking this just out of curiosity, but what if he has the bag tied to his waist and looses it immediately after jumping. Does that change anything about the odds of survival? If so, that could explain someone surviving but not having the money. Not that I believe that. I am very intrigued by this case, but at present time I don't favor any suspects over any other, although I find a few of them to be more interesting than others. Nor do I insist that Cooper survived. I simply don't know. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  22. My question to DBC: "What is your name?" "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  23. Yes. "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
  24. I am pretty good at recognizing truth as well, and I see absolutely none of it in your "story". Parrot head, you have a bird brain. Maybe so, but even a bird brain can see through your lie. Also, I wouldn't be too critical of Jerry misspelling your name after you referred to Ralph as "satin". "They were saying he was never gonna make it now, now that daylight had set in. But later that night, they were shining those lights back down on that mountain again." - Todd Snider
