  1. Yeah, you're probably right, Nick... I think I just have a bad attitude about this subject from my own experience of having people trying to talk me into BASE jumping when I didn't want to, and from observed peer pressure at the dz. But I suppose saying "I could never..." and "I don't want to..." are completely different things.
  2. I don't understand why some people who BASE jump think that everyone else wants to, or will eventually want to BASE jump as well. BASE jumping - like skydiving - is not for everyone. And I also don't think it's very cool for them to be trying to encourage someone to BASE jump if the person is saying they don't want to. Just my opinion...
  3. Hmm... Given my taste for Jack Daniels, I must really enjoy hanging out with my inner self.
  4. Hmm, that's what it sort of looks like. Oh, and here's a short video of it: http://www.huehuetltlahtolli.com/assets/multimedia/voladores.wmv Actually the dude in the middle is playing a flute and a drum, not chanting... I also found out that they are called the Voladores. Here is some more info about the dance and some more pics: http://www.kivu.com/multimedia/mexindians.html And Travis, don't be such a sissy.
  5. It's a little bit different than bungie jumping. It starts out with five people on top of the pole - one standing in the center and one on each side of the square thing. The four on the edges are all tied to ropes that are wound around the center. The guy on the top starts doing a little dance and chanting and then the other four guys all fall backwards (but they only fall back a couple of feet at first) - the thing starts turning and their ropes slowly unwind while they are sort of dancing around upside down in the air. When they get to the bottom, they just flip over on their feet and stand up. It looks sort of scary, but it looks like a lot of fun.
  6. I was watching Wildboyz last night (I love that show ), and they were doing a Mexican pole dance (like this) that looked really cool. Have any of you ever tried this or seen it performed? Oh, and when I was looking for a picture of a pole dance, amidst all the pictures of strippers that came up... there was this cute picture of a pole dancer: http://hoonhomepage.50megs.com/funny/Pole%20dancer.jpg
  7. I also meant to say... It would probably still be a good idea to set up your own website. You could include links to any other resources (such as craigslist) that might be helpful.
  8. Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org/) has something like this. The cities in red (on the right-hand side) have Katrina relief sections with temporary jobs available.
  9. Well that will put an end to skydiving, since most skydivers will no longer have a way to get to the dz. I agree with a lot of what you're saying though. Alcohol abuse is bad (especially when it involves drunk driving or heavy drinking around children), but there are a lot of people who "use alcohol" by having the occasional glass of wine with dinner, and I don't see any problem with that.

    Opps . . .

Yeah, I was kinda wondering what the story was on that one.
  11. Yes, as soon as I have finished whipping my little slave dude. thats just wrong. Oh. Did I say that out loud?
  12. Yes, as soon as I have finished whipping my little slave dude.
  13. So I see... I shouldn't even be talking to you because I am such an
  14. Yes, it would. I've been thinking about that too.
  15. "Comes with authentic vagina smell. Obviously." Yuck.
  16. I am taking an online class right now, where a large part of the course involves posting in a discussion forum. I am a bit disturbed by the fact that at least half of the other students do not seem to be able to post without a large number of spelling errors; some are so bad that I can hardly understand what they are saying. I can't see any excuse for this, as they should have access to a dictionary or spell check, so I am guessing that it's mostly a case of laziness. It's not an English class, but it seems to me that spelling should at least be taken into some account. Perhaps they all have this learning disability that affects their ability to spell... (And now that I've said that, I probably have spelling errors in this post.)
  17. You're so cute when you're pissed off.
  18. Quite the ladies' man, huh? Of course, the first thing that reminded me of was a line from the movie "The Wall"...
  19. I think it means "loving them like a pro" as in you are charging them money for the love (as a pro would).
  20. I didn't know that was one of the events either... But now I might go check it out since it's just down the road (as a spectator, of course).
  21. I didn't even realize that this was going to be Labor Day weekend until I saw this thread... I think I will do something really fun... like clean my house.
  22. That's cute. He's doing a pretty good job of it.
  23. There you people go again... ruining a perfectly good sex thread with talk of bondage.
