Thanks for all your suggestions. Decided to go to Gap, France. The reviews, scenery and exit altitude of 15500ft sold me. I have insurance which covers skydiving, but not repatriation. Do you have suggestions regarding additional insurance? Also any additional skydive documents I need to jump in europe (I am located in the US)? Thanks very much.

Locarno and GAP sound great. Thanks. Has anyone been there lately?

Thanks for the suggestions. Since I have been to California, Florida and Hawaii, I am looking somewhere else in or outside the US.

Have someone film you :) I felt the range of the Elite was more horizontal than vertical. Did you have the same experience?

Would like to get some input on where to go for a week long skydive trip in July. Looking for either ocean view or beautiful mountain scenery jumps anywhere in the world. Doesn't need to be a big DZ, as long as loads are turning 5-7 days a week, weather permitting. Have been to California, Florida and Hawaii. Budget is $2500.

Thanks for the review. When looking left or right, you are probably not just rotating your head on one axis, but also shifting your weight and that could cause the instability, but I am just guessing. Have someone film you.

The colors are awesome! Love to hear your thoughts on the Elite.

I have flown the Profly, Elite, Phantom2 and Shadow2 just recently. In my opinion both the Profly & Elite are similar to the Phantom 2, but have less performance (could totally be my skills, but I have more jumps on SFly than on PF suits). Both the Profly and Elite have cutaway cables like the PF suits (which is important to me), are a lot of fun, but the lower pressurization can get tiring. I have not jumped Tonysuits. Fly before you buy.

Thanks for the detailed review. I'd love to see the flysight log ;)

Is July still happening?

Can't wait to see video and more details on performance. Wonder how it compares to the Apache and Venom.

Anyone has any details or images?

After a close call recently and thinking of how a 'flat turn' probably saved my life I wanted to share this story with you. I flew my usual landing pattern which I had done many times before as strong gusts pushed me quickly off my base towards a 40-50 ft tree. Behind the tree was a 100 ft gap then forest and to the right were more trees. I had to decide between a hard left, a right turn towards more trees, landing in the tree or to try to go slightly to the right over the tree. To turn left didn't seem to be a good option since I was afraid the wind would still push me into the tree. A right turn would have put me on collision course with more trees. I didn't want to land in the tree since the branches were thin, no way I could have held onto them. I decided to extend the base and go slightly to the right, almost over the tree. As soon as I cleared the tree I went into a left flat turn, flared and landed safely inbetween the tree and the forest. If I had done a hard left turn I might have made it, but probably would have hit the ground hard. If I had done a left flat turn the wind would have pushed me into the tree, no doubt. I could have setup my landing pattern better or turn earlier to be further away from the tree, but this is not why I am writing this. You can try to do everything right, sooner or later something will happen whether it is your mistake or not and you have to make a call and try to save your life. In this case I am glad I did many high pulls to get to know my canopy well and train flat turns. I am by no means a good or expert canopy pilot and the choice I made might not have been the best, but seemed to be the only one in that moment to save my life. In skydiving things go wrong fast, always be prepared. Practice your emergency procedures over and over. http://www.performancedesigns.com/docs/98_low.pdf

Great device, works like a charm. I have one and don't need it anymore. Let me know if you are interested.

Great. Thanks. Has yours been shipped yet? I heard US customs take forever (1-2 weeks) to check packages. Did you get the 'no grip' version?

I am interested in the Elite and was wondering if anyone had flown it? Flight characteristics,...is it comparable to any of the PF, Tony,...suits? And how does it compare to the Profly? It's on sale.

I love the N3. Digital and audible alti with wrist and hand mount, big screen, 4 adjustable freefall and canopy alarms, temperature,...

Emailed them a few days ago, didn't hear back from them. No suit or status update so far. Amazing how some companies are run...

I am interested in the PF Havok and was wondering if someone has more info on it. How does it compare to the Shadow, Phantom and Ghost,...skill rating, flight characteristics,...release date. Thanks.

The intend of this mod is to be a safer skydiver. As stated in the post, neither do I believe listening to music in freefall or under canopy is particularly safe, nor do I actually do that. It is just an option that the N3 Audio offers for skydivers who think they can safely do it. I certainly hope not to end up in the incidents forum.

Finally got a response. Let's see how long it takes until I get the suit.

One thing that always bothered me with the N3 Audio in freefall or under canopy is having the earphone cables exposed. I don't think it is the safest thing to do. In this case the G3 is the helmet of choice and I like the N3 Audio since it can speak to you. First I cut out a 'tiny tiny' piece on the left side to make room for the earphone jack. (This is important otherwise you might damage the padding). Since the audible pouch is too small for the N3 Audio and the jack, my concern is that the constant foam pressure on the jack will damage the N3 Audio plug and not work properly anymore at some point. The cutting took a few minutes since I wanted to make sure it fits perfectly. I tucked the cable behind the foam (back piece) so it does not slide or get loose after every jump and put the earplugs in the right pouch. (see attached images) Set the Volume to 90% or more/less if needed. It works fantastic. What you need: 15 min Sharpie G3 N3A Small earphones that can play music really loud Ipod Nano for music If you have an Ipod nano you can fit it into the earphone pouch. Don't think it's the best choice to listen to music while jumping...enjoy! P.S. My only intend is to show a 'solution' for the N3 Audio and not start a discussion which audible has the same or better functionality without earphones...

Thanks for the info. I wish they would at least respond to an email or a call and let me know what's going on.

I ordered a firefly suit about 4 weeks ago and have unfortunately not received a response or confirmation yet. I called, left a voicemail, sent an email...no response. As I understand they were closed for a few days. Does anyone know if they are still in business?
