  1. No I want to know if your God has created life on other planets in other solar systems in other galaxies and if yes have they too been invited to your party (assuming Hey-Zuess also lived there of course and saved their souls). Your Burble tells us we are the only ones in the universe. Your burble tells us that the universe was created only some 6000 years ago and that the world is flat. But we know science tells us otherwise. So what's going on here? Why is your God such a hypocrite? Or is it just we humans who are the hypocrites. 2. Does your God include the universe? Or are we the only living creates here on this planet? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Well the God that we humans have invented sure doesn't like humanity very much. One only needs to look at the wars, disease, famine, natural disasters, birth defects, etc, etc, etc to see this. But go ahead and continue believing that you're special and that you'll have eternal bliss while all the other creatures in nature are excluded. Plus go ahead and ignore the universe. After all there couldn't possible be any other life forms out there now could there. The God you created was created in your image, not the other way around. 4. Just want all my Colorado friends to know that I am thinking about you today as you dig out from your latest snow blizzard. Better you than me. I'm actually basking in reasonably warm weather here up in Alberta (all relative of course). I was dealing with negative 30 degree temperatures about 3 weeks ago. Keep the rubbery side down. 5. So am I. There are a few phrases in this song which are more along the lines of what an atheist would say. But I still like the song nonetheless. Even though I heard this song many many moons ago, I only brought it into my collection last night as I've been downloading "legally" a lot of music lately. I'm definitely going to listen to it later. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Obviously the religious people will not like this song (they'll probably judge it without even hearing it). Do you even know it? Have you even heard it? It's got a nice melody and all. It just has some controversial lyrics. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. All I've got to say is "I like this song" Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Without knowing anything about your background and jumping experience it's hard to understand exactly what you're looking for. Despite being a private pilot before I became a skydiver, it took me a good 150-175 jumps before I started feeling comfortable under first a Triathlon 220, then a Sabre2 190. But in that time, I have obviously jumped more and learned tons not only about canopy flight but also about myself. When I went to my new to me (used) JVX 87, the first two jumps were made in Colorado and while I did do a 270 over the pond on both jumps (and touched water) I approached those jumps in a somewhat docile manner where I setup slightly higher and farther back than normal and definitely wasn't looking to generate tons of speed (ie: doing something like double fronts). Plus while I did touch water, I went into those jumps thinking that the water was optional. All I really wanted to do was get a good feel for the canopy. Then my next 50 or so jumps were made at sea level with no pond and once again the first few jumps, I wasn't looking to generate any extra speed. But after 20-30 jumps on the canopy I started looking for more performance. Of course now that I am uncurrent, when I do get to jump again I likely will break out one of my larger canopies before I go for it again on the JVX. We definitely don't want to get behind the canopy when we're jumping something we're not all that familiar with. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Wake up and see the lies that your government has been feeding you for decades now. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. I see you are unable to read. I do NOT believe 9/11 was a conspiracy. I do believe that 9/11 was carried out by a radical element of Islam. However it is sad that you are blind to the lies the US government has been feeding you. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. You guys are killing me with your conspiracy theories. There is an easier explaination. Domestic fear and patriotism helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the fear and patriotism which helps feed the Military Industrial Complex which keeps America employed which helps feed the patriotism ... Do I sound like a broken record yet. How many decades of this pattern must we continue to endure? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. I do not trust this current US government. But I don't believe in the conspiracy theories. 9-11 was real as far as I'm concerned. Radical Islam did attack America that day. There was a very good BBC show I saw earlier in the year. I wish I could remember what it was called ... I guess I could always look back at my history here in DZ.COM because I commented here soon after I saw it. Anyway it painted the world in a very good easy to understand picture on how an element of radical Islam is out there hell bent on killing Americans and yes this element was responsible for knocked down those towers. But at the same time, these extremists aren't as big, as scary and as organized as the US government makes them out to be. The US government is using scare tactics on their own citizens in order to get the lemmings to back their agenda (which appears to be Imperialist expansion while keeping the Military Industrial Complex running and thus keep the American economy in tune). Isn't war nice and sanitized when it's happening on the other side of the world. Build up enough fear which leads to patriotism all the while having enough domestic poverty where the key to financial stability is to voluntarily join the military. After all the soldiers can't complain about being sent to war zones since they volunteered for it right. Much more effective than the draft. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Tara "pass me the mirror ... snort" who? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. It's funny that 1-2 years ago, I would have been slammed by two dozen posters within minutes of saying what I said here. But now there is not a peep for several days and counting. Coincidence? I think not. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Be safe folks. I know we're going to be seeing a lot of good talent coming from you guys in South Africa in the years to come. But this shit isn't safe. I lost a friend of mine a couple of months ago after a swoop gone wrong. RIP Josh. I'll see you when I get there. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. Well then stop telling lies to the world. The hypocracy of this current US government is a joke. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. I really should be sleeping as I need to get up for work in a few short hours. Anyway, about 3/4 of the way through the video Ian shows a sequence of crashes. Chris Hayes is the first guy chowing in the pond flying a yellow canopy with PD lettering on the bottom skin, I'm the 2nd guy crashing (my rear riser stall) and the Greg Chopick is shown crashing right after me. I would like to blame this sequence as a conspiracy theory as Ian clearly likes to pick on Canadians (Chris, Greg and myself are all originally from Canad'ia). But then again. maybe it was just us 'nucks who were doing all the crashing that day. But as I said, it's one of my favorite swooping videos. Oh Ian also includes Jay Moledski's (another Canuck) world distance record swoop near the beginning of the video. So maybe it's not a conspiracy thing-a-ma-bob after all. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Hopefully Ian won't mind me giving out the "skydivingmovies.com" URL to his video which has my crash (seen about 3/4 of the way through the song). The video itself has some awesome swooping footage from Colorado 2 years ago and he did a really good job mixing the footage to the music. It can be found here. But now that he's an evil mean greenie (just kidding) he has the power to delete this message if he chooses. But it is one of my favorite swooping videos and I'm not just saying that to suck up to the evil mean greenie. It really is a good video. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. For a second there I thought you were referring to Canada's LIEberals catering to Quebecistan and the immigrant population. But now I see I was mistaken. The maritimes in the East have some of the most friendly people you will ever meet. But unfortunately they too are socialist lemmings now dependent on governments since they over fished the oceans and killed pretty much everything that lived there. And as far as beauty is concerned, well Western Canada's Rocky Mountains, interior BC and the West coast are to die for as far as their scenery is concerned. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. You asshole I'm jealous ... Travis knows I'm just kidding. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Global warming is fixing this issue. I'm not against the average American. I think the average American citizen is often (not always) a good person. But I am very frustrated with American leadership. GWB has done nothing but lie to you people. In my eyes he's one of the worst people your 50.1% could have ever choosen. And what's worse many of these 50.1% continue to either buy into GWB's lies and/or know they are lies but agree with the warped reasoning behind the lies. I am equally disenchanted with Canadian socialists. They are scum and the arrogant and corrupt LIEberals promise the world to the lemmings, do nothing but waste money and steal from the tax payer and the lemmings love them for it. I wonder what life is like in South Africa? I understand they just built a nice big swoop pond at one of their DZs. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. A republic is a pack of wolves in charge of a flock of sheep. It's funny listening to some of you guys define what democracy is and isn't and that America isn't a democracy yet when we listen to GWB's propaganda all we hear is "we need to spread democracy in the Middle East" blah blah blah. Well as an outsider I'm finally waking up to the fact (I don't know why it's taken me so long) that America is nothing more than an Imperialist power set on conquering the world for it's own selfish economic reasons. So who's next? Iran would be the logical answer. But I'm guessing North Korea is just around the corner since it's the gateway to China. That will be fun to watch. Watching America take on a billion plus China-men. Face it, it's not about freedom. It's not about WMD. It's not about democracy. It's not about radical Islam. It's about world dominance. It's about having a McDonalds and a Haliburton on every street corner. PS: I'm surprised we haven't seen the American military in the Alberta tar sands yet. But I guess you'll be here once you've sucked the blood out of the Middle East's oil supplies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Yes it is true that Hilter was obsessed with destroying the Russians more so than the West. In fact I've read in the past that Hilter actually viewed England as potential allies (what with them being almost Arian and all). But I have one question. What does this have to do with who was the best US president? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. GQ I too am a Broncos fan, but all that they did today was stay alive in the playoff race (which is better than dying). They've still got tons of work to do. I think they're going to have to win out just to make the playoffs and then they'll have to do it on the road. But at least they didn't die today. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. One other thought about woodpeckers issue and the advise that AndyMan and myself have given him. I have little knowledge about what woodpecker may know about software development. It's one thing for guys like AndyMan and myself to blurt out concepts like Model/View/Controller as we're both professionals in this field and know many programming concepts. But it's possible that woodpecker is still in the stage of learning how to crawl when it comes to programming and telling him how to run maybe a little too early in his development. In fact it's not all that different from canopy flight in skydiving. I shouldn't be telling someone how to do a swooping freestyle trick when they're just learning how to fly their student canopy. LOL ... I actually need to be asking other people about freestyle tricks myself as I'm still very much a novice when it comes to freestyle tricks.
