No, not ready just yet.I'm tinking about my next canopy. In eiher case it will be either a hornet or a heatwave when.I downsize. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

Why is it that you prefer the hornet over the heatwave.Isnt the hornet more docile. Were you trying to upsize.Or what. The reason I ask.I was thinking abou getting a heatwave and I currently jump a hornet.I figured they're both made by PISA and I love the hornet but I want the elliptical factor. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

I've got a tempo.Havent had to use it yet.Knock on wood. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

I have a hornet and let me tell you it is a great canopy.Except for one really bad opening(you willalways have an occasional hard opening)The opening are very soft and gentle.Plus the lies are color coded if your learning to pack this will make it much much much easier. The flight caracteristics are great. And I paid $950.00 for mine.My $.02 go for the hornet.Later you may want something more hp, but this is an excellent canopy.I swear I don't work for PISA. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

I asume opening on the hill means (while still in the prop blast)Question.Which directon are you exiting.Facing the prop, the tail, diving strait out or what.In other words des it matter how you exit if you pull while your in the prop blast.Sometimes I exit facing the prop.I dont think a rght hand pitch toward the plane would be a good idea. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

I've got alost 100 jumps but only a few hop npops.I was thinking about doing some more hop n pops to become more failiar w/ my canopy, work on my accuracy ect.I am used to being in the saddle around 3k normally. On my last ne I exited about 4k I probably rushed my deployment a little(about a 3 second delay outthe door) My canopy sniveled qutie a bit.The opening pulled me vertical I looked up and saw my bag for a brief moment and thought s#**.I almost cut it away because it looked for a second like a baglock.I gave it a second. and whoosh no problem(after talking to a few people I realized this was most likely the result of a subterminal opening.)In retrospect I feel I may have rushed the deployment a bit which I know can be a bad thing if you're not stable. However I also don't want to be waiting to long to get stable and be in the saddle right at my decision altitude.180 ft. Any thoughts, advice, or words of wisdom? http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

It was saterday evening. One load before sunset load.I was doing a coach jump with a friend.Everything was going great .We were doing a little sit flying action. Some docking drills and what have you.Backtrack at 5k.Went on y belly and tracked a few more seconds.3500 ft wave and pitch whoosh bif bap whish boom oh f*#k AAGGHHH.The most violent line twist/hard opening Iv'e ever experienced. The risers had my neck pinned down as I reached up to grab the risers to undo the twist bip.The line twist undi itself and nearly tok a couple of fingers off.It ripped oe of my figernails off of my right hand and it tore my audible off off the external audible port on my helmet.(I lost my protractdammit)The funny thing is I usually have very soft gentle openings on my canopy.I have hornet 190 loaded at about 1.2 Iam sure that it wasnt bad body position or anything like that.I'm kind of baffled as to the cause of this incident.Anyone have any simlar experience or ideas as to what could cause such a violent unprovoked line twist? http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

Good point, except the probability of dying trying to land a wingsuit is very high. There would likely be several fatal attempts before it would be done successfully. For those pioneers who are willing to die because it would be cool to land a suit.If your that passionate about it.Go ahead.I'll be watching.C YA Quote http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

All good things have a begining and an end.Its what you make of the trip and what you take away from it that matters most.Life is grande.Keep on smiling and never give up. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net

Not just no, but hellllls no!Why would you want to die trying to land a wingsuit when you can simply land your canopy. http://www.freefallmaniacs.net
