Well, I'm about 220 out the door and I did my student progression on Manta 288's & a Skymaster 260.... those are wingloadings of just under .8:1 & just over .8:1, which are VERY conservative wing-loadings. I only have about 15 jumps on my first rig (javelin/Sabre 190 loaded @ about 1.15:1) and I'm already looking forward to downsizing. I'm a fairly good canopy pilot for being a novice (not including accuracy). My reserve is a PD176R, and I have absolutely no worries about whether or not I could handle landing it safely, I'm also very confident that a terminal opening on this reserve wouldn't cause any problems. PD reserves are strongly reinforced, and from what I understand, tend to be able to handle a little more force on opening that other comparable reserves. As for packing a larger canopy into a smaller D-bag.... ARGH, My 190 can be a pain to pack in a bag sized for it, I wouldn't want to try stuffing it into anything smaller! "Peace & Blu Skyzz!" Once I'd completed all menial tasks and hung my apron on the rack next to the J4 I got on my knees and begged Mistress Pamela to let me respond.... Between buying gear for both Pam & I, I've purchased two full sets of gear, and with the exception of the jumpsuits everything was purchased used (Rigs, Helmets, Dytters, Altimeters, etc..). On all equipment I had made a deal that if the gear wasn't on the up-n-up then I could return it. Since most correspondence was thru email, I had the agreement in writing... We had absolutely no problems with any of the purchases (other than a small tear in the lining of one of the z1's I wasn't aware of). Man I'll tell ya, the best place I've found is the Dropzone Auctions & Classifieds. I bought my rig (J4, Sabre 190, PD176R, new cypress.. 500 jumps) for $2,200, and Pam's rig (Dolphin, Triathlon 160, Tempo reserve, 99' cypress... 70 jumps) for $2,250. I got both of them off of the auctions right here on dz.com.... seemed like a damn good deal if you ask me. All the gear is in like new condition, there's even a Latin guy at our DZ that called me el wesel grande for getting gear in such great condition so cheap. Yeah, I've had my nipple pierced for about 5 years now & mine even still gets a little infection in it if I don't keep it clean. Mine bled like crazy when I got it done too... actually, they both did, but I had to take the left one out cuz the guy totally missed the nipple it was like almost a quarter inch off center. I went with Pam last Friday & we got our tongues pierced... the actual piercing didn't hurt much at all, but the swelling is getting on my nerves pretty good. Otherwise, not bad.... definitely a good choice! I'm gonna' pose a question for you guys (Pam will probably kill me for it, but oh well). She wants to get the hood of her clit pierced. At first I was just like "NO!" & thought that was the end of it, cuz' I really didn't think she was serious! Turns out she pretty damn passionate about it, cuz' of all the stupid things to fight about we got to have that one. Now, I don't know if it's whether she REALLY wants to get one, or the fact that she feels like I'm telling her what to do that's made her so passionate... but regardless! My biggest hang-ups are.... of course the obvious of someone besides me fondling my wife's clit, I really don't think they're that attractive, and can they cause damage? I mean, do any of you know if the scar tissue will cause any permanent loss of sensation for her (remember, I'm talking about the hood, not the actual clit)? I really don't think it's a good idea, but that could simply be the jealousy thing talkin'. What do you guys think??? So far we've seen some pretty positive things about piercing the downtown area, but is there anybody that has (or knows anyone who has) had a bad experience? Oh I totally agree, a woman that's proud of herself & her body is very sexy.... but I don't make the assumption that just because someone chooses to add a little 'adornment' they're not equally as happy with their body. I don't really think it matters, used to be (like in the 80's) that a lot of people got tattoos, & piercings too I suppose (they weren't real mainstream until recently), because of low self-esteem & what not. Now, I don't really think it matters.... It's like buying a new shirt, people get them simply because they like them & they fit their personality and style.... not because they're trying to say, "Hey, look how pretty I am 'because' of this!" Just my 2cents!
