Texel - 28/29/30/31 July

Recommended Posts

Skydive Texel is proud to host the high altitude wingsuit boogie again!

Check here for a video of last years event.

Join in on 4 days of flocking on one of the most beautiful island locations in Europe.
High jumps, and load organising by Andy Ford.

Check http://www.flylikebrick.com/texel.php for more details.

Next to the UK people joining in through www.islandboogie.com we're making a list of the people coming from the rest of europe (so the dropzone knows how many flyers will be attending, and can arrange extra lift-capacity if needed)
So far, it seems like we have a total of about 20 wingsuit flyers on the island during the 4 day boogie.

If you want to come, send me a PM or an email at jarno#airrebels.com

So far confirmed
(not counting the UK people joining through islandboogie.com)

Costyn van Dongen - NL
Tristan Witmarsh - NL
Jarno Cordia - NL
Marius Poll - NL
Alejandro Lopez - BE
Pascal "Bassie" Nijs - BE
David haygarth - UK
Sarah-Jane smith - UK

And a small extra plug. be sure to check out our new section of wingsuit flying tips (video) at www.flylikebrick.com

Only one more day untill we're off to the island!

Next to the whole UK gang (Andy Ford etc) flying in from the UK (caravan jump-in) to Texel with the Island boogie there will be a bunch of guys from Holland and Belgium and a few other countries joining in.

Just a few names.

Alejandro Lopez
Tristan
Costyn
Hans
Marius
Roel
Jari
Toomas (and GF)

There's probably more people dropping by over the 3/4 day weekend, but so far it looks like we have about 15 to 20 birds there...

See you all friday on load #1!! (or thursday-evening in the barB|)

Ya Fookers how´s your boogie going? Any parties and tequila?

Jumping was good Friday and Saturday, but Sunday so far has been shit. There was 1 load and it doesn't look good for the rest of the afternoon. Videos of Friday and Saturday should be up in a while.

But there was a fun party last night at some club on the island (with lots of non-skydivers) which a bunch of us went to. The party at the Cochstedt boogie was better. B|

Cheers,

Costyn.

Texel was great..we had the .be crew, the .nl crew, and the .co.uk crew representing!

We had a group of about 16 to 20 birds in total over the weekend.
All loads where flown to 15.000 ft, and some 18.000 ft (using cool little red-bull-kinda cans with oxygen so we wouldnt start seeing bunnies etc)

We had some great dives. Some 1 on 1 dives with newer birds, big fat formations with the whole group, and some nice small dives with transitions (slot-swapping). Next to the cool jumps, the view at altitude was nothing short of amazing.

Great fun in the bar..never thought I'd end up seeing someone stick 10 cocktail-sticks in his own head (and finishing it off by plantig one in my skull)

We also got some new birds up in the air (congrats to our 'fake chineese guy'), and also had girl come down screaming from her first jump in an impact suit...its probably safe to say she's a new addict;)

Big thank you to Fordy and Andrew for arranging all this..we had a blast
and hope to see you again at texel in a few weeks!

Andrew edited some nice video's..those will probably make it online in a short while.
I'll try and post a few stills later today..
