I just revamped the photo and video section on the Guano Website.

I want a few opinons of how the flash video is working. It took awhile for me to get it to a point I was happy with it. These are the first set of videos I compressed with the flv format so I'm still trying to figure out what the best data rates and settings are.

Take a look at the videos and see how long it takes to download and if the quality is good or bad.

Let me know if the functionality of it is easy or bad.

videos are very quick to open, great quality, editing and flying.

just on the 1st one don't know if it's normal but in the sound there is kind of a strange sound, like an electrical interference...

VERY fast on my cable modem. Tremendous editing, with fades and sun bursts, etc. The ONLY thing I didn't like as much as the rest was the split screen simply because it made the images smaller. I liked it better when it filled the screen. JMHO

A+ all the way, though!

I'm working on a seperate gallery that will shocase the images in the entire window the site has. The gallery you see has the images load dynamically and will be just some fun shots compared to the "high quality gallery."

wow nice job! the site is easy and fast. data rates were fine with cable.
the flying was awesome the editing incredible.
If those are promos for guano where is the full length video? , I'm in for one.

Very nice. The video system is better than any other pure-Flash solution I've ever seen (which is to say, it works on my Linux box and it even looks good). Just a couple of points:

- If I don't have Flash installed I get a blank page. If an HTML version of the site isn't possible, I'd at least consider some text for the non-Flash users explaining why the site doesn't work for them and what they can do about it.

- I really really hate it when a site makes plays music without my permission, probably because I'm the type of person who forgets to turn the speakers down at work or when I'm up late surfing while the rest of the family is sleeping.

But I'm just nitpicking. Overall it's great.

Good points I'll get a html text info and work on the non flash redirect. I got lazy wanting to put more time into the site content and never went back and put that in.

Sorry about the audio, but I want something a little more entertaining and want to support local music. I finishing up a little props page for all the bands/people that let me use their audio.
