Advice? Complete AM-490 at the end of your freshman year, apply for a position on the team, have a good GPA/MPA (the higher the better), and have a good interview. Being a jumper before you get here will not be a significant contributing factor, but we will take that into consideration.

Cool...First of all, congrats on getting an appoinment. That is not an easy thing to do. A new freshman. Class of '08. I'm at the Academy right now. I'm not on the team, but I second everything Miami said. If you want I can send you some emails address of team members. I know them all.

Make sure you take AM-490 before you start 3-degree year. You'll spend your 3-degree year upgrading (learning how to skydive, teach, and jumpmaster). Then 2-degree and firstie years are spent on the team.

A good GPA is a must, because the team will place huge demands on time that could normally be spent studying.

Good luck, and definitely go for it, since the rest of the stuff going an at the Academy right now doesn't look to promising.

You should apply for a position if you think you can get out of your current career field. Keep in mind you can't freefly, you will be jumping a vector and at the smallest a 170 spectre (up to and including a pd 300). PM me if you want more specific info about it.
