I use Excel, its on my laptop, synched with my PDA, but not here at work.
Its easy just use any logbook to get the headings, then use a simple math to get running totals etc.
You can embed hyperlinks to video, stills, dive plans etc.

You can do it with MS Access on your website or a standard html form that converts to .txt which you can then suck the data in to an excel spreadsheet. You can create an excel spreadsheet on your website as an object....

There's really a multitude of ways to do it... If you're looking for someone to do it for you...there's more than one IT guy on here in need of some cash.

I have to wonder why anyone would think that other people want to read their log book.

I can't imagine anyone else wanting to look at mine, and I don't want to see anyone else's.

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like hubris to me.

Oh man, hubris. That stuff is great, especially made with a little extra garlic and oil. I like to dip bread in it, sometimes tortilla shells.

You don't see it served at parties much anymore.

Kallend,

Mine is up, and I hardly think it is hubris. Honestly, it is more for me than anyone else. It keeps my information handy for licenses, and provides me a reminder of things to work on. The entries are honest assessments of my jumps, rather than any brag-fest. The entries with "TDFTM" for distance (too damned far to measure), or the landings where I write that I bounced on my ass are hardly examples of hubris.

Some other people look at it. It generates a lot of hits from interested whuffos. I usually send them to uspa.org and dz.com. Friends I'm in sporadic touch with also check it to see where I'm jumping and how I'm doing.

My online logbook also includes names of people I jump with, as I can get them. In at least one occasion, it is also a reminder and memory about someone that died skydiving.

I get a lot of whuffos reading my online logbook, and a lot of newbies. My logbook has a pretty detailed chronicle of what I went through during AFF, and for some reason people seem to like reading it. I just started it for myself, as a way for me to remember all the details of my jumps (not just the stuff that fits in the little square in the regular logbook), and people seemed to like reading it.

Same reason i have one. It's for me. I like how it tracks the percentages of aircraft you've jumped and etc.
