physicsman 0 #1 December 9, 2009 Anybody have a chance to try these models yet? Is the data rate above 1Hz?
phoenixlpr 0 #2 December 9, 2009 Get a more up to date model. They are old anyway. Do you have any software which can handle >1Hz logs?
vidiot 0 #3 December 10, 2009 The 301 works ok, but is old and not as sensitive as e.g. the Wintec 201. I do like the navigation feature though (Arrow back to the DZ ;-) Paralog does My Logbook

vidiot 0 #5 December 10, 2009 5Hz loggers? Out of the box, without hacks? I'm listening... 66 channels sounds impressive on the data sheet, but is only useful for aquisition. The maximum number of visible satelites at any time is currently 12... Currently I would still suggest the 201 as the best unit for our purposes. The 202 and the QStarz seem interesitng as well but still need to prove their reliability. My Logbook

The 202 and the QStarz seem interesitng as well but still need to prove their reliability. I have to agree with that as well. It's way too easy to get caught up with htz, channels, etc and forget that reliable and clean data is what we want at the end of the day. There are some promising looking newer models out there but it's funny how they often times don't work as well when placed in a skydiving environment."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

vidiot 0 #8 December 11, 2009 Reviews/comparisons of the two as well as my own experience show no significant difference. I didn't know it logs with 5Hz, though. Coudl you post settings/example logs? KlausMy Logbook
