Let us tell you when something is advertisedPremier Members can set keywords and be notified when an ad containing that keyword is posted. Looking for specific gear and want to be the first to know when it becomes available? This is the way to do it. You can add as many notification keywords as you want and modify and delete them whenever you choose. If you're looking for something very specific and only want to be notified when exactly that item has been posted, then simply include the whole phrase in quotes. Setting a notification for "Sabre2 150" will only send you an email when that exact phrase is posted in an ad. Just remove the quotes to make your criteria less strict. The choice is yours! Premier members can access and download their Dropzone.com mail to their favorite mail reader through a POP connection. This enables you to have lot more control over your Dropzone.com mail. To set up your mail application to access the POP server use the following settings: Create a new account in Outlook/Express/Whatever For the POP server use the following settings: Username: YourUsername@dropzone.com (Important: Your username is your full email address, not just your Dropzone.com username!) Password: YourPasswordForDropzoneDotCom POP3: mail.dropzone.com Port: 110 SMTP: Your SMTP settings should be the same as for your other accounts. Outgoing mail still needs to go though your own ISP. Setting up a POP account in some commonly used applications: Microsoft Outlook XP - for Windows Microsoft Outlook 2000 - for Windows Outlook Express 6 - for Windows Outlook Express 5 - for OS9 More information on how to set up a POP account for other applications here

We think for skydivers a Dropzone.com email address is much cooler than Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo or any of the other free mail service providers. When you join Dropzone.com you automatically become the owner of the yourusername@dropzone.com email address. Standard users have access to their mail through our online mail interface (just like Hotmail and Yahoo). As a Premier Member you can now download your mail with your favorite mail reader! Whether you use Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail or any of the other mail clients out there, just set up your POP settings and start getting your Dropzone.com mail delivered straight to your desktop! Much more control... On Dropzone.com we scan all messages on our servers for viruses and you should never have to worry about possible infections. We also use SpamAssassin to minimize the amount of spam that comes to your Inbox. With all of this done, being able to download your mail to your desktop gives you even more control over your mail. You can run it though your own anti-spam and anti-virus software and archive it as you please. More space... Even if you choose not to download your mail via our POP server and just continue to use our online WebMail interface, we bump up your availible storage space from 3MB to a whopping 50MB! If you use our POP service then simply choose not to leave a copy of your mail on our server (it will be on your desktop anyway!) and with 50MB you should never run out of space! Take control of your Private Messages! We know that once you start hanging out on the Dropzone.com Forums and making friends you're going to love our spam-free Private Messaging (PM) system. Some people have told us they use their email account a lot less and simply conduct most of their communication with other skydivers via PM. Premier Members can now create folders and organize their PMs! No more browsing though pages and pages of messages trying to bring all the relevant messages together. Just drop every message from your 4-way team in your new Team folder and they'll be easy to get back to in the future! Search your Private Messages We know some users have literally thousands of PMs. The new Search feature enables Premier Members to find any message with very little effort. As many as you like, as often as you like...Any Dropzone.com user can create their own Personal Gallery in our Photos section. All uploaded images are however subject to approval by an editor, moderator or administrator. We try to get to them as quickly as possible, but there's inevitably a delay between when you upload them and when they become visible on the site. We know when you just have to share your new photos, you don't want to wait for us to approve them before you can show them to your friends! As a Premier Member you can upload as many photos as you want to your galleries and they will be available immediately for others to enjoy! Furthermore, you can send your uploaded photos as electronic postcards to friends an family. You can organize your images by creating as many directories and sub directories as you need.
