They do not want to learn a new trade ( as if some of them could ), they just want their old jobs back. And that is not going to happen. Right now the school has a 76% minority enrollment. Earlier this week they started moving a statue of a confederate soldier "Johnny Reb" from a park in downtown Orlando. They are going to put it back up in a confederate veterans section at a local cemetery. While removing it they found a time capsule that they plan to open in a few weeks. First of all, what's a senior TI? Here's the best advise I've got for ya... Go talk to the TI. Tell him what you were thinking, listen to what he has to say, ask other Instructors for their opinion, and call this a teachable moment. You've gotta get along with him (the TI) in the future, let him know your a student that wants to learn. And, my guess is, he'll probably feel like a jackass for being one.

Also not abroad but from the North side of the country. I miss the Coney Island hot dogs in Detroit. Seems like we had a Coney Island Franchise on every other corner. Went to a little diner in Orlando the other day. They were advertising Coney Island hot dogs as a special. So I asked the waitress about them. CONEY DOGS DO NOT HAVE PEPPERS AND CHEESE ON THEM. The primary reason is due to the The Immigration and Nationalization Act of 1965 (codified as 8 U.S. Code 1152) says: "No person shall receive any preference or priority or be discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person’s race, sex, nationality, place of birth, or place of residence." Congress could change the law, of course - but they have not yet done so. So until they do, discrimination against immigrants based on their nationality, place of birth or place of residence is illegal. A secondary (and less clear) reason is due to the First Amendment's guarantee that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." The EO states that the US will: ". . . prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual's country of nationality." That means non-Muslims based on the country list. I met my wife through a Navy friend. She had just graduated from high school and wanted to get the hell out of Alpena Michigan. Her best friend was my friends girl so she came down to Virginia Beach with them. 2 months later my 4 years were up, we were engaged and heading to Detroit.
